Wondering if something is cooking for boxing day.. Was on a norgie-flight landing 1015 in manchester .. flight now announced landing 0850. in a "normal" environment makes no sense at all; just pissing people off, majority on that flight going to anfield/travel operators, so 1230 looks coming
It’s not even about individuality, it’s about the team. Our game was based on his controlling of the tempo. Squeeze the life out of the opposition and then strike. That is our game. Like a pack of pythons.

Thanks; based on flight change starting even earlier so no worries I think.. 1230 kick off though; bit shit actually. but could be wrong; normally is

Im to be on a flight in Manchester at 8pm so 12.30 probably suits better. By the time I get back to town and get the hire car returned

Hope you’re all enjoying the TV fixture release today as much as I am.

It would honestly be better if they didn’t provide dates as they seem incapable of hitting them. The fixtures were drawn in June!

Usually, any long delay in these announcements are down to there being some disagreement regarding certain fixtures.

If the rumours about the Leeds game being Boxing Day at 12.30 are correct, then I would imagine LFC would be strongly objecting to this.

From the BBC Sport website:

Festive fixture release

Simon Stone

BBC Sport

It is a week later than planned but am hearing the Premier League will release the December fixture schedule this afternoon.

This will include the three rounds of matches around Christmas, plus the midweek games on 30 November and 1 and 2 December.

The delay has been to try and ensure clubs have a similar timespan between matches.

A BT game on a Thursday night is a bit unusual isn't it?
How have we fared over Xmas compared with other clubs? That looks harsh but when do Leicester play before our game?
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

Leicester are 3pm away to City on 26th Dec, we're at home to Leeds at 12.30 on 26th.

Most teams play Dec 26 and 28. Well, all apart from City, Chelsea and Man U who get an extra days rest.

What will our rivals complain about this time?

The schedule is nuts, I guess we are lucky we have the 12:30 fixture on 26th and 8pm fixture on 28th!

Arsenal have 3pm fixture on 26th, then 12:30 fixture on 28th.

I don't know why they can't just have all the games over the period kicking off at the same time and just letting the TV companies broadcast whichever ones they want to.

I'll watch some other games but not really that arsed about it as long as I get to see ours.
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.

If anyone is going to put a few fingers deep into my arse it's going to be me.

When do our AFCON players have to leave?

Tournament starts 9/1, finishes 6/2.

Senegal/Guinea 1st game is 10/1 & Egypt 11/1, so likely be able to play Chelsea on 2/1.

There's a winter break, so the 3 likely to miss just 2 PL games even if they get to semi or final.  There's 1 or 2 FA Cup games in Jan 22 but Klopp has never prioritized this competition.

So for games between 27th November & 2nd January (minimum of 10 games, depends on EFL Cup performance & how Chelsea deal with the Club World Cup in December)

LIVERPOOL: 10 games in 36 days 1hr 30mins (9 PL & 1 CL)
CHELSEA: 10 games in 35 days (9 PL & 1 CL), 2 in Club World Cup TBC
MAN CITY: 10 games in 33 days 22hrs 30mins (9 PL & 1 CL)
MAN UTD: 10 games in 36 days 1hr (9 PL & 1 CL)

It's all swings & roundabouts, we have the quickest turnaround between matches , only 55h 30m between the KOs of the Leeds & Leicester games, but have a good rest for the Chelsea game on 2nd January (nearly 1 more day's rest than Chelsea have).

Whereas Manchester City play first in New Year the 1230 KO on 1st January, only 64h 15m after their previous game on 29th December.

It will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Thanks Dan, I wasn't sure if there was a rule that they had to be there a week or whatever before the tournament starts which would be cutting it fine. Fingers crossed they're OK for Chelsea as that would be a real miss.

The West Ham twitter help page said tomorrow - https://twitter.com/WestHamHelp/status/1448579189012148227

Total shit show for flights and sleazyjet and ryanair gouge the f**k out of the prices as soon as the schedule is released.

Lucky enough got flights booked for me and the kid pretty soon after announcement £140 return total. The price today for same 30 minute return flight £470. Total rip-off

absolutely grim isn't it, I don't understand why easyJet don't run an extra flight, they'll easily fill it up at a decent price

Two weeks since January's tv schedule was supposed to be announced. Only two rounds of league fixtures to sort and they're not arsed.

Liverpool v Shrewsbury has NOT been selected for TV coverage and is showing 3pm Saturday. The fist FA cup game we've not had chosen since Oldham a few years back ?
It could still move to Sunday I guess for the BBC's 'final score' thing they do at the 3rd round stage where they show goals as they go in.

Oldham definitely was on TV but yeah it'll be Saturday 3pm or Sunday 2pm they usually have some games, I think the Shrewsbury game last time wasn't on TV
