Topic: Madrid '19 - Campervan from Faro to Madrid (Parking in Madrid)

I was just wondering whether or not any other fellow reds were getting to Madrid in a campervan? If so have you found anywhere around madrid that you can park the campervan in a secure location?


If so please let me know. I'm really struggling to find anywhere on the internet that i can book.

Camping Osuna seems to be one of the only campsites within Madrid that accepts camper vans.

We are going from Alicante to Madrid in motorhome. We tried to book camping osuna but it’s sold out when I emailed. We are staying at Camping Madrid Rainbow Arco Iris. Try there, it’s 11 miles out approx but got transport links. Campsite also has bar, restaurant, swimming pool and shop plus washrooms

Thanks Guys. How are you planning on getting into Madrid from Rainbow?  It seems to be about 15 miles outside the city? and no train anywhere nearby? or am i just not seeing the rail link?

Interesting.  One of my besties is a Spurs fan and just happens to own a Winnebago motorhome.  Might ask her if she's going the match.

That said, every game I've watched this year has been with my other bestie and I've only seen us lose once, and that was against Barcelona.  She's my lucky charm.

There's a couple of options

We can either get a taxi or uber. There's going to be 8 of us so we will split the cost or there's a couple of buses and o catch or a bus and then metro train in.

One entry says there is a Vodafone office carpark across the road from Camp Osuna that some people have used without problem

FREE PARKING IN MADRID : try the Ventas and Quitana areas just outside the city ring road, in the side streets parallel to Calle Alcala, which cuts across Madrid.

Don't leave anything valuable in there ?

If the windows do get potted then nothing has been stolen. 

If I was in a camper van or hire care I'd deffo use the parking near a campsite or in one. If that fails then on the outskirts in one or by one then cab it.  Only the person driving knows what he's doing by the way .
