Watched the first two episodes. Thought it was almost unwatchably silly. Surprised at the adulation to be honest.

Not one of the best series ever made but it is highly enjoyable.

Also, when I read that Sandra Oh won a Golden Globe for her performance, my first thought was "She was not even the best performer in the series". Jodie Comer was far better in a more demanding role. Oh well.

Messi in fact doesn't have a recognizable trait.

I see where you are coming from, but I would suggest it’s meant to be kind of silly, tongue in cheek. Whereas the likes of Luther takes itself oh so serious but is in fact hilariously ridiculous.

I see they have just Green lighted a 3rd series, great news but I imagine they will have to change the title soon to "Still trying to kill Eve"

Really hope it doesn't become another "wow, this was successful, let's milk it for all it's worth long after the novelty that made it so good originally has gone" project.

I really enjoyed the second season. Won't go into details as it's not aired in the UK yet I don't think.

Hopefully there's a third.

Preferred the first season, second season was still entertaining but didn't hit the same balance of humor and suspence as the first.

Was at a funeral in Netherley on Friday and was talking to her Dad who is rightly very proud of her. He was an excellent player who I played against many times, he is a physio at Finch Farm now. Good for her and I hope it can inspire others.

Second season was good but I think that first season was so different and startling at times the impact was never going to be there second time around. Still entertaining, funny and dark in places and Jodie Comer is brilliant again.

Agree with all of this. The first season was new and fresh it was always going to be hard to top.

Looking forward to season 3.

Spoiler
Found S2 was going along nicely but the last couple of eps let it down. The ending seemed a little contrived and/or predictable and I felt it deserved better.
Plus the implausible stuff like Eve swanning in and out of the target's place, gunshots being fired in city hotels and then killing a billionaire business man and no security or police etc getting involved etc.

Yes. Eve's husband was a fool for not just going with it.

Didn't think S2 was a patch on the first.

Still watchable though. Comer was still great. Wonder if she will get some film work off the back of it.

Yeah went downhill extremely fast. Script was largely awful compared to the previous season, the storyline entirely lacking in intrigue or suspense, and Eve managed to become intensely annoying in the absence of decent character writing. They even gave up on varying the music. Just the same shit over and over. Liked it first, but hearing it five times an episode was amateurish

Series 2 was on BBC America in April last year too - and BBC1 started showing it in June, so I imagine it'll similar again mate.

It'll likely be available at the usual places the night after it screens on BBC America ;)
