The bubbles, in Liverpool.

Or more, the two over road bridges/walkways, and the escalators in Williamson Square.

Come on. Who didn't play on the escalators as school kids. ;D

When I was young my dad always used to take me to Manchester Airport where we'd go to level 13 of the long stay car park and watch the planes for hours. They had this nice little cafe there and a small shop selling aircraft models and whatnot. Was gutted when they got rid of both to expand the car park space.

Best I can think of are some of the old football grounds like Burnden Park, White Hart Lane and Upton Park. I know the new Spurs ground is on the same site so not quite the same as the others but always makes me grateful we redeveloped Anfield.

Burnden park, that fa cup game there in 93 was the coldest day ever

They have the airport viewing park now, its where the planes turn off onto the taxiways after landing, so you get a good close up view. The airport pub is good too, end of the runway, usually you see the landings.

Wembley standing behind the goal for Liverpool v Everton in a final. Two things that won’t happen again.

Yep, did that on a bad blag ticket in 86, gateman didn't even look at it.

There is another option. Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple.

The Liverpool Stadium on a Friday or Saturday most weekends no matter who was playing. Stand out gigs Dr Feelfood and a Thin Lizzy one when the seats got smashed up in the frenzy. Not big or clever but an epic night.

Probe Records in Rainford Gardens and Xtremes alternative clothing shop downstairs by Hessy's. The characters you'd see in those places.

Quiggins when it was just by Bluecoat Chambers.

Jody's, McMillans and Planet X. The Harrington Bar.

Skelhorne Street bus station.

The old landing stages at Pier Head.

The real Spion Kop.

Towards the end it was yeah - I never really went much towards the end as that coincided with Alton Towers getting significant investment from the Tussaud’s Group and becoming far and away a better park.

It’s heyday was the late 90s, even then AT was better but it was nice for a change.

Always a shame to see places like that close, I think they’re planning to build housing there.

Used to get my metal t-shirts, belts and other stuff from Xtremes and a lot of vinyl from Probe.

My Mums brother used to live in Little Sutton. Mid 70's we used to get the 15D to the Pier Head, ferry to Birkenhead, then Crosville out to Sutton.

We used to get taken to the Berni as a treat

I remember taking hubby years ago, if I remember it didn't even look like a record shop when you went in.  Paul was convinced we were in the wrong place.

Shame it's closed as there's always a need for vinyl.

Some good memories there.

As a kid, I found the Large Objects Museum at Princes Parade absolutely fascinating. The old trams, buses and fire engines, all sorts of cool machinery to explore, happy days.

Further out, when I was still a kid my mum used to keep us off school and we'd go with friends to Frontierland, Morecambe. You could buy a wrist band which entitled you to use any ride as many times as you wanted. I was an only child raised by a single mum and such was the tenacity of my mum, we would get a railcard which entitled kids to travel for only a quid, pack our own food and get the train from Huyton to spend the day there.

We would literally spend hours and hours there on the Log Flume, Haunted Silver Mine and rollercoaster not to mention the fun house and arcades. Probably frowned upon, but imagine being kept off school to go there? Absolutely brilliant.

Alehouse/club wise, I spent most of my 20's and 30's going the Cabin on Wood Street, not everyones cup of tea but I loved it there. The DJ's were awful but in all the years I went, I never saw a fight once and you got a lollipop for going with!
