Well you cant say there was no contact on that one. Taken all the penalties given so far this was probably the clearest one.

It was a clumsy looking challenge, from behind. He didn't really leave the ref much of a choice.

I just don't like the fact that he made the most of it like that. If it was a bad enough challenge he wouldn't need the Swan Lake bollocks that went with it.

I don't believe it was a foul. He certainly wouldn't have gone over in any other area of the pitch and so it wouldn't have been given as a foul.

he fouled him! if he hadn't have gone down then he'd have probably got away with it. although given he wasn't facing the goal and it was unlikely to be a goal scoring opportunity then an indirect free kick would have been the fairest decision, don't know whether the referee has the licence to make that sort of decision though.
