Won us this game. Was in complete control of his box and subsequently in Pickford's head who was determined to match that measure of control, while forgetting he is physically incapable of it. LOLLL

Absolutely my man of the match. He's just so calm, so cool. The goal started from his nous, running up to lay the ball off to TAA so he could cross a moving one instead of a stationary one.

You need top quality players to challenge. Last season, the likes of Karius, Mignolet, Matip and Lovren in key positions is just not good enough. Van Dijk and Alisson though are levels above.

What a difference having a world class keeper makes. Fantastic point-blank save to deny Gomes. And if he doesn't get a hand on the ball when Walcott was through, he goes past him and slots it in. He's as much a reason we've got 3 points today instead of 1 or maybe even 0 than anything else.

Outrageous point blank save today. Also, and this is just an eye test, but it feels like he's getting his distribution mojo back after that error early doors. He was so cool with it today. Perhaps it has something to do with the 2 CBs and 2 CMs on the pitch today.

The perfect goalkeeper for our side.

Like with Van Dijk ahead of him there is no weakness to his game, he’s got everything a goalkeeper needs. Never been as confident with our defence as I currently am. Allison and Van Dijk are clearly world class players, Gomez not far from it either this season.
