Super over coming up in the T20 series decider. Smith and Hussain on commentary again.

So who struck the most boundaries during regulation overs?  :lmao

Edit: England win 17 to 8 in the super over. Hilarious.

Cricket shouldn’t be played at rugby grounds though, ridiculous boundaries out there! Sounds an entertaining game though!

Must catch  up with this.

I don’t think I will ever forget Smith in the summer though...

11 overs isn’t cricket though...

Just watched the highlights, fantastic game, played with a great spirit between the players. If you haven't seen it try and catch it if you can. I'm really looking forward to the Test series now, in fact I can't wait!

Centuries for both Sibley and Crawley on the first day of the tour match overnight. Good stuff. Assume not the strongest stack but good to see them both making the most of their opportunity.

Genuine openers who like digging in and working for their runs. With Burns in there too, suddenly a few options, although as you say, probably a weak attack.

But will they be able to do it against a stronger stack?

Team announced for the First Test. No surprises really.

Burns
Sibley
Denly
Root
Stokes
Pope
Buttler (wk)
Curran
Archer
Broad
Leach

Hopefully they go a bit better than they did on the first day of the first test last time they played in New Zealand.

Looking forward to this. Can’t be the 10pm (ish?) starts in NZ.

Looks a decent side, will be good to see how they go. NZ attack looks very decent so will be a challenge, our bowlers seem a little short of practice too.

Definitely the nucleus of a team for the next few years with the possible exceptions of Broad (age) and Denly and Leach (quality). Great to see four of the top six are players who will hang about during testing periods. Particularly interested to see how Pope and Sibley get on.

Has there ever been an England Test team with less letters to its collective names? Even the two syllable names are really short.

Good line up, would have liked to have seen Crawley at 3 but Denly has responded with runs in recent matches. He's definitely the future there I think.

Much better balance, and some better temperaments (on paper!). Looking forward to tuning in tonight.

That’s one for Andrew on TMS. :D

You could improve it further by swapping Curran for Woakes (I won’t push too hard to bring Roy back for Sibley!).

Packed house I see. It looks like there’s more people warming up on the field than there are sitting on the grass slopes around the boundary.

When I retired I want to do a couple of tests in NZ and maybe a couple in India.

If you are going to the NZ tests then please do tell me in here as I will be so fucking green with envy that I will be unable to cope.

When you’re in Slough in November, try hearing how beautiful NZ is! (Yorky this means you.  Don’t go to any more fucking over seas tests! ;D)

Always looks like great conditions too, most parts of the Cricket world look unbearable through heat/humidity or both, NZ looks more British type of climate

Yeah, the further south you go the colder and wetter it gets. Bottom of the South Island in May isn’t a barrel of laughs but it’s by far the most scenic place I’ve visited I think.

Looks like we’ve seen off Tum and Trint. Both skippers would have batted, and so far that’s vindicated.
