Excellent. I am not sure if it counts as a guilty pleasure, but I do love it in all its forms. That said, I do miss those early series where in the initial rounds there were people who struggled to boil an egg. The standard has improved year on year.

At a time where all other shows are doing the opposite (see The Apprentice) this makes a nice change.

It's the judging I love about this show. I know he's not involved any more but Michel Roux Jr is my favourite reality TV judge. Much more of an arm around you kind of judge.

It's not the Simon Cowell school of being horrible or Gordon Ramsey school of 'IT'S #@*#@!? RAW!!'

This kind of show will break you down then build you back up.

Even when you know they have done shit it's 'you've not had the best round, but I liked where you were coming from. Come out fighting next time.

Any contestants this series need to remember John And Greg like it spicy

I know there is much more to cooking than throwing a few chillies into a meal but the two judges clearly like a bit of kick to their dishes.

I assume it is John and Greg still judging.

Quiet in here folks, What we thinking so far after 2 full rounds?

Quite a good standard so far I think.

At the moment the older fella, company director Jim is looking good.  The vegetable inspired dish he made for critic Grace Dent in the final last week was brilliant.

The young girl from Middlesbrough from Week 1 is good too.

I haven't much of this season, despite watching most for the past few years.

Grown a bit tired of it, feel they would benefit from changing the judges as you can tell early what Gregg and John will like
We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks

She's my friends younger sister so obviously he's sworn to secrecy as to how well she's done. Can't wait for her to cook a parmo!

At least they have done away with the standard 'they go and cook in a pro kitchen' when they have had 1 round. Boring as fuck that was and standard each time i.e. start really badly and finish doing quite well.

Bring Marcus in from the pro masterchef.

Wallace does my head in but I can see why he's on the amateur and celeb versions. He has absolutely no place on the professional version though.

Didn't realise Torode was marrying Lisa Faulkner. Did they fall for each other on the show or afterwards?

No complaints with the final 4 though Geoff's reliance on Italian food is starting to really annoy me

The trip Hong Kong has really thrown everyone.

I had Delia as my favourite to win but after the latest one i'm not sure

Fantastic final 4.  They've all shown immense improvement throughout the show. Irini though has been the strongest overall for me. Hope she wins.

I like Jilly, think she's really improved.

Not sure on Geoff getting voted out, thought he had been consistent all through and been calm under pressure.

Delia will win, because John and Greg fancy her.

I was a little shocked (if shocked is the right word for a cooking show) because he was clearly consistently the best cook throughout.

Agree with you on Delia. Me and Mrs laugh every year and spot the women who we think Greg and John will want to keep in as long as possible, and invariably do !

Starting to have massive issues with that competition

Feel like they are scraping the bottom of the barrel now with reasons to hold an amazing banquet. Plus cutting the number of shows to combine 2 courses into a day is rough

Also don't get me started on the judging. The scoring feels very scripted now and so inconsistent. Looking forward to going to Ellis Barrie's (last year's finalist) new gaff on the Albert Dock in the Summer
