That awkward moment when the Middlesbrough manager and assistant manager have won more trophies at Spurs than any of the current players.

Pretty strong Tottenham side, as you'd expect for a team with no other trophies they can win.

They went really strong in the first game as well. If I were to make a guess, I'd say that Mourinho is desperate to win a trophy so he can point and it and say "look how much better a job I did than Pochettino"

It's not a great situation but continuing to start Eriksen when he clearly doesn't care is an odd choice.

Could do with Spurs winning here, tire their players so they’re not as fresh in closing us down in the league.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I would think Spurs fans are desperte to win a trophy too.

Think that was surely the whole point of hiring Mourinho

It's Leicester we've got to worry about. Wes Morgan's experience could really be crucial.

When will Tranmere v Watford be played now? There's league matches next midweek and then it's the 4th round weekend, will they play it then?

Spurs almost returned the favour there with a defensive fec-up.  Decent save saves 'em.

That's pretty rough for them but then again we had 2 games in 2 days and no one gave a fuck so... ;D

Tangangaagaga looks like he might be a good player for spurs. He definitely looks like he's 30 though and not 20.

Surprised he's playing tonight. When he was named the other night I thought Mourinho had decided to try and repeat the 'Kalas' trick.

And there's a classic example of why Jurgen is currently lightyears ahead of Mourinho right now and why his players want to run through brick walls for him .....

Tanganga gets forward and almost scores ......

Jurgen would have held his hands high above his head and enthusiastically applauded that!  Jose turns away disgruntled like someone has just shat on his supper!

How on earth did Boro get a draw in the first game?  They are chasing shadows.

And who knew that Spurs are actually a good footballing team when they get the likes of Eriksen, Moura, Lamela and Lo Celso playing close to each other?  Easier to achieve when they're not playing a back six and two holding midfielders, I suppose.

they have made a few changes for their last league match starting line up apprently, so I'm guessing they are not at full strength, but otherwise, no idea! They played alright in the home game of what i saw, and a combination of Spurs being rather rubbish that day.

Lucky that was offside, or it'd been the miss of the season.

Just as well VAR would have ruled that out for offside, as that was an appalling miss.
