Absolutely spineless performance.

How is it possible we keep 'topping' previous bad displays??

Just when you think you've seen the worst, another one comes along.

Really, really angry at that. Ruined my week already. Sure it will disappear closer to the end of the week, but right now don't even want to be near the ground for Saturday's game the way I feel right now.

Was there anyone available who wanted to come to us, who could fit into our squad?

You can't be telling me there was nobody we could've signed that is a better attacking option than Alberto Moreno?!

hmm funny how we couldn't find anyone to improve the team in January transfer window. Hopefully won't repeat the mistake in summer. Entire team plus Klopp should be ashamed of that first half display. I guess it is goodbye to Top 4. No CL football another year.

That was extremely worrying, 6 points in 2 months & out of all the cups. Shouldn't we be getting better?! a few months ago it looked like we were but the total collapse in 2017 does raise a lot of questions. Season feels like its over.

Why have they not got the message that we have to match our oppositions commitment for 95mins EVERY match?

We are now Spurs with  a full and dusty trophy cabinet.

Might give this a miss until August,  I can go elsewhere for entertainment and moan about more important things.

At least i had Leicester at 9/2.

Normal service resumed.. against bottom half teams.

Physically coming off 2nd best in every challenge? Check.

Lose over 90% of second balls and 50-50's? Check.

Knowing the way the game is panning out after 2 mins? Check.

Both sets of players should be ashamed of themselves;  Liverpool because that was an appalling performance and Leicester because they've neglected to put that effort in all season.  Disgusting.

Pretty much expected that if I am honest - fairly certain I wasn't alone and regardless of how sour that defeat was, Leicester have had so much to shout about over the past week that it was inevitable that the players were going to want to prove a point. They went back to route one and knew that we play utterly shit against route one teams. Just another defeat in a string of defeats that more or less proves that we were always going to be pissing in the wind by not preparing better in January.

Some have said as much in other threads, but as much as we have a good team, our squad depth is inadequate for the second-half of the season.

I can't think for the life of me think how Origi isn't playing in games like these - away games were we need to go back to basics.

Well, that was fucking shit.

Firstly, congrats to leicester - down tools for half a season, get manager fired, play like demons, win game.

Liverpool - well, fuck. We have been here a lot in previous seasons. Not much to say other than same old, same old. Need, bigger, more physical players up for the battle maybe, too many neat and tidty players, not enough fighters.

Top 4 is looking a distant dream. Probably going to finish behind United this season. At the start of the season that was taken as given, considering the money they spent. But now that is galling since they are a shite team playing shitely but grinding out results.

The bigger fear (god forbid) is finishing behind Everton in 7th. No chance you say. Well, 5 points and current Liverpool form say it's a real possibility.
Beatings will continue until morale improves...

your all a bunch of bedwetters, etc

Can't be bothered, same shit different day. feel sorry for klopp, mentality of these lads were dreadful once again

Got called out for saying there was no chance of us improving in the second half and getting a result, poster bring up Istanbul., as you do. That team was full of fighters, this team has talent but no fight or winning mentality whatsoever. Milner aside, it lacks players that have won honours and competed at that level

Just turn up when you feel like it lads.

I'm not sure i understand....we just got beat because we got out worked, it's a will thing not a skill thing

It's a having nobody on the bench who can impact a game kind of thing. Threadbare beyond the first XI and when they're off we are in a huge hole.

Maybe at some point we'll realise that we need some new players? The whole signing 7/10s isn't going to take us very far.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

No response from the team after half time, if anything we were worse and Leicester tired.
Players who apparently can't last 90 minutes after two weeks off.

I'd have thought that this performance completely disproves the theory that gegenpressing has tired us out.
We've had two weeks off and still played like they ran a marathon every day they were away.

Our players just have a very poor attitude in certain games.

There's no way this team gets top four.
And there's therefore no way the manager gets to bring in the players he wants.
Rinse and repeat.

It's bad enough watching tripe like that but we then have to suffer the usual suspects coming out in the week telling us how hard they're going to work, and how they will put things right. I wish the Club would ban all these interviews, the performances speak for themselves.

We've got no fucking bottle in this team. It's alright for them to turn up against the teams who play on the floor, but against a team that gets stuck in and plays long we fucking shit ourselves. Happened for so many years now and doesn't look like it'll change any time soon.

That was one of the more depressing games I've watched in a while.

I think you deserve a medal myself. I stopped watching games live a long time ago.
I do appreciate you taking the time to commentate. Gives me an insight into what we are doing on the pitch. Which by all accounts tonight was nothing. Cheers.
