Lynda Bellingham - Mrs Oxo to a generation - lost her battle for life to bowel cancer today. RIP Lynda - lovely woman.
There is nothing wrong with striving to win, so long as you don't set the prize above the game. There can be no dishonour in defeat nor any conceit in victory. What matters above all is that the team plays in the right spirit, with skill, courage, fair play,no favour and the result accepted without bitterness. Sir Matt Busby CBE KCSG 1909-1994

Yes, the oxo mum is always my first thought whenever she's mentioned.

Had a very interesting and turbulent life by all accounts. Shown amazing fortitude and strength of character. RIP Lynda.

Fucker of a disease.  Seemed a lovely woman by all accounts.  Would have been lovely for her and her family to have got that one last Christmas together.  Thoughts to them.  RIP.

Mrs Herriot to me.

My dad has had bowel cancer, so I can only sympathise with her family.
