Next draft is a cricket one then, or shall we squeeze another football one in?

A normal sheep one would be a good shout I reckon. I could run it if you don't mind waiting until 10/11 every night for results! Would prefer someone else though.

Any Rugby/Cricket one, I would probably be in for, although might need a partner!

How about doing another Moneyball draft if we're going to use the sheep format? It's essentially the same thing but with less luck involved given that you can adjust your bids according to the player's popularity. We only used current players last time so there's plenty of room for manoeuvre in terms of the player pool.

What about a honeyball draft? Or funnyball?

If I remember correctly, I ran an all-time Moneyball draft. I'll think about some variant to make it more interesting and different. The pricing was based on competitions won. I'll try to fiddle with that too. Maybe we'll have another Moneyball Draft in the future.

I think you might be confusing it with the Auction Draft? There, you could BID for a player. In the Moneyball draft, player prices were pre-determined.

The Domino Draft

Draft Set-Up
16 managers
All-Time
Snake-draft

Rules
1st pick - your choice

However, for your following pick you must choose one of the following rules:

CHOOSE A PLAYER WHO...

- was a club teammate of your last player for over 2 seasons
- won a domestic league with your last player
- played for 2 of the clubs that your last player has also played for
- played for 3 of the clubs that your last player has also played for
- won a cup final against your last player
- was an International teammate of your last player
- appeared in the same World Cup game as your last player
- wore the same World Cup squad number as your last player
- has won 25 more International caps than your last player
- has won 50 more International caps than your last player
- scored a goal in the same game as your last player
- was booked in a game that featured your last player
- was sent off in a game that featured your last player
- was born in the same year as your last player
- is the same height as your last player

It's up to you which 10 rules you choose AND in which order you choose each rule*.

Tournament
4 groups, 4 teams in each. 2 teams who progress can take 1 player from each of the eliminated 2 teams from their group.

*The player they choose must follow two of the remaining rules from above. If no available player follows any of the rules, you cannot sign a player.

Summary
10 rules - Draft
2 rules - Group Stage
1 rule - Last 16
1 rule - QF
1 rule - SF

I like the sound of that domino draft.

Just one question though, with the summary, do you mean that if you win in the QF you can pick one of your opponents players if they follow only one rule?

Just had a look back and you're right, I meant the Auction Draft. Great little draft that one, I'd be up for setting up another one when I have a bit more time on my hands.

Domino draft sounds good for now  8)

We've had a ODI Draft haven't we? I seem to recall nicholas anthony being annoyed with my Sehwag and Dilshan opening partnership. Not that it did me any good!

In fact we definiteky did a ODI one because that's where Katie Price picked Dwayne Leverock and Paul Stirling and then accused us of being elitist pricks when we laughed about it. :lmao

Sheep Draft next?

I'm willing to host. Maybe we could do a Sheep Draft where each round has a related decade.

So "Pick a player that won a world cup in the 70s" or "Pick a player that won the Champions League in 00's"

Etc etc
