Never got sung thankfully. And i think this post on twitter sums it up 😂

Also, in a build up that was dominated by Soccer AM, Paddy Power and the rest of Football's 'banter generation' tonight was a timely reminder that Anfield's ours, not theirs.

Up The Reds.

Here it is . Very subtle tweaks. simples.

"But we sold" becomes SO we sold.

changes everything keeps everything the same. even sings easier. forward looking not backward looking yet still respectful. and just 1 short word. Its the proper wording. from a marketing viewpoint if nothing else much better So than But.

and the all important Bridge tweaks to 'CAUSE we've! Got!     "because" self explanatory and much better than "but" which is apologetic/wistfull and backward looking.

So we sold. Cause we've got.   try it. you'll like it.

on a side note i just was walking around the house singing to all the animals   Cause weve got Sophie! Princess Princess. and Patti the Chinchilla.....somebody please help me....... ;D

When rival fans are singing it on Soccer AM you know it's not really a Liverpool song, it's gone beyond that now, which is a shame as it's a great song.

Maybe in time when all the press on it dies down it might get taken up.

Fully agree.

I've had it in my head all week but it had no place at Anfield today- it was an occasion for a range of emotions: defiance, hostility and pride. Not some song that every gobshite all over the country has been singing for a laugh.

We could do with this at the Kop considering how shite the song list has been the last few years.

Actual lyrics with a catchy tone. What's not to like?

Only problem is that it's ended up a bit too mainstream for the precious gits.

That's it, most people have been taking the piss out of it imo, it's a bit like the Will Grigg song for me, catchy song but part of the reason it got popular was because it was some grown adult filming himself singing it in his bedroom in his parents house.

I could tolerate this if it didn't have the cry-wanky Coutinho line in it. That has no place anywhere near our club. Aside from that it's a bit cringey and whatever but manageable

If it were an actual red trying to inspire a new song, I'd absolutely love this. But it's some Brodkin character type mocking the exact type of fan we need, mimicking someone willing to stick his neck out.

The guy who made the video is a friend of mine and I can confirm he is a die hard red.

Some of you lot are seriously precious to be getting all upset about this (great) song making its way onto the Kop. No doubt the type who sit on their hands and just bitch and moan all game. Glad to see the majority seem to have enjoyed it.

Defo catchy, but as soon as Sky start jumping on the bandwagon and Soccer AM'ing it....
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Yeah, hoppy is one of the main ones known for sitting on his hands and moaning all game. Doesn't contribute to the atmosphere at all, going every week organising the flag displays with his 10 year old lad. No not at all. And so fuck if it's your good mate, it's a pile of fucking wank.

I assume ''hoppy'' is the poster I quoted? I didn't say that particular poster responded to was one of the bitching moaning hand-sitters. He said he would like the chant if it was from an actual red. I was replying to him as I know it was made from an actual red. So it would seem he disagrees with you that it's ''a pile of fucking wank.''

Agree that it is a shame that this song has been hijacked and I don’t particularly like the reference to Coutinho but all in all it is an excellent effort.   Unfortunately for the OP he is living in South West Ireland and not “one of us” as many of the die hards would have it.  If he had been with a few suitably dressed Scouse mates bouncing up and down in a concourse or pub,  then the song would quickly gain acceptance.  Does my head in with the attitude of some on here, we have a long running thread about improving the atmosphere at Anfield yet some seem to stifle a bit of innovation.

It's gone to cringe levels now and wasn't sung yesterday as expected so best to leave it there if the Kop haven't embraced it.

Well done to the lad and hope he made a few quid out of it if he is a Red.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

He's been a member on RAWK since 2005, safe to say he is a red.

Yesterday was mental it was never getting sung... hoping it takes off the smaller games, people disliking it for it's mainstream appeal are mad.

Unless the song originated at the back of a coach on an awayday pre-season friendly to Vladikavkaz where only 7 fans turned up, then there are certain supporters that will never sing it.

The Suarez song was cringey as fuck, the Torres song was cringey as fuck, ring of fire, the same. But they were catchy and got people singing.

If there's a song out there that gets people singing and creates an atmosphere I'm all for it.

However the last line about Coutinho needs to be binned. It's not what we're about.

Replace the last line with...'We've got the best front trio' and you have a deal. The lads need a song and I don't hear anything better being put out lately. Plus this is modern football, they might not even be all playing together next season.
