Think Firmino was earlier than this and was in part due to the Salah signing (he then got 11).

The 10 has been free since Coutinho left so they could have changed it before the new shirt went on sale. Unless it's linked to him signing a new deal... which makes sense.

That is what I thought. I remember Gerrard requesting the #8 shirt in contract negotiations.

Yeah it makes sense if it's something he wants for the club to hold off until he signs a new deal. Just another bargaining chip we can offer him I guess.

Would then explain the timing, with a new deal being done not long after the WC ends for him (so within the week).

The SM10 company's house thing was leaked around the same time as we signed Keita and his NK8 company was set up. Presumably they're for image rights and if the #10 is available I think Mané will want it.

Rumours are we offered it to Fekir, but who knows. One of those two might get it, or someone else, or it might stay vacant while Klopp patiently waits for a Fekir alternative if that's fallen through.

Great to hear that we're nailing down these players on long term deals. Reflects Klopp's vision of the club. Loyal players who will stick together through thick and thin and ultimately get us back to where we belong.

There is no way we could have held on to our front three the way we have a number of seasons ago. Credit must and should go to the excellent work the people in the background at the club are doing.

Does it really matter too much given they are offering free exchanges?

Plus I imagine it's linked to a new contract so it's maybe part of the reason to delay it.
