Oddest first post I've seen since ................ probably yesterday.

John C ..is it you who likes that house on elmsley road? the one thats white and looks like a massive spanish villa? I think thats still my fave house by a country mile.They are selling the plot of land in front of it though which is a shame as the grounds are amazing.

yeah mate its me, its one of the hidden gems of South Liverpool that people wouldn't know was there.

This is Beechley Cottage on Allerton Road adjacent to Caldies Park.

It was an old bungalow that stands in a large piece of land slightly smaller than the Anfield pitch. It was dilapidated but developers were not allowed to demolish it due to its age etc. The cottage has now practically become a porch for a massive house that looks like a block of flats. Its been developed for about 2-years with an under-ground carpark & swimming pool. Nobody will tell you who the owner is, all workers and security are sworn to secrecy. It looks like a magnificent modern place which must be worth close to £10m. Within a couple of months it will be impossible to see from the road due to the double row of trees that have been planted along the front wall.

Does anyone know anymore about it?

If you've been going past recently mate you must have noticed the building works, cranes, skips, spa and swimming pool installation vans, landscape gardeners, etc.

This is as good a shot as I can get for that Elmsley Road one off Bing Maps. You need to swivel through 180 degrees to see it though as the link will only face the opposit direction.

Lived in Elmsley and never saw the attraction quite honestly mate. Always thought it was horrendous! Ah well... One mans' treasure is another mans' trash and all that
