Min of 4, max of 16, ideally need about 12, I have a couple of guys from work who'll join and when Shaun and Gareth get their arses off of rawk then that'll make 9, just need a couple more ideally.

so what happens now, how do i select a team  :)

I have selected an automatic offline draft. Every player in major league baseball gets ranked according to their performance over the last three years. Basically you don't need to do anything and you will automatically get the best available players in the draft. However the rankings don't take into account playing positions so you can pre rank your players in the order which you would like them to be drafted. Also players often get injured, if this happens you can place them on the "DL (disabled list)" and replace them. The draft will take place within the next few days so I would suggest pre ranking your players as soon as possible. I will give 24 hours notice of the draft.

Once the teams are selected, will we be allowed to trade players?

Hey!  Beltre is mine ;D
And if anyone else goes near Ichiro, there'll be trouble . . .

But you are welcome to any of the Yankees  :P

Beltre has to scrape by on $11.4 million a year whilst Ichiro has it a tad easier at $12.5 million. By the way, do you see any similarities between Steinbrenner and the owner of Chelsea? I do.

Any room left for a braves fan, new to the world of liverpool fc?  I've experienced several seasons of fantasy baseball, and I must warn you...it can be very addictive.

Anyone wishing to sign up needs to do so before midday tomorrow as at that time I have to set the draft status to ready, the draft can take up to 48 hours and has to be completed by Sunday.

Yes, each player is ranked according to previous performance, however the default rankings are not great and don't take postitional considerations into account. If your knowledge is not great it is best to leave it, otherwise pre rank the players you want, bear in mind you won't get all the ones you want as everyone else will probably want them as well.

Probably not because I'm a Padre fan and will most likely end up ranking my players by preference rather than common sense

Yes, you get 11th and 12th picks. 1st in the draft gets 1st and 22nd pick so it kind of evens itself out.

Check the scoring categories and pick players accordingly, ie it can be counter productive to have someone like Adam Dunn who whilst hitting lots of home runs also can strike out a lot. You'll pick it up as you go along mate.

I have included 5 DL spots so the less knowledgeable among us don't get caught out with a load of DL players after the draft.

So with me being 10th, all the people who have just autoed in will get the top 5 or 6 ranked players.

There goes my other prospects then.  >:(

Hey Molly!  There are a few of your boys I wouldn't mind getting, and at least one is on my top 3.

But I'm guessing I won't be the only one going after Albert Pujols  ;)
