So if we go through against Atalanta, the only midweek we will have free is the one before the final game of the season. The performance against Man Utd in the FA Cup was similar to some of the laboured performances we saw in April/May 2022. We desperately need the bulk of the squad to stay fit for the final stage of the season so we can rotate.

4 comps is just too much if you're going deep in all of them. It didn't help us beating Arsenal in the cup. Had we gone out there we'd have had 4th round weekend off and the Everton game would have been out the way already. But losing Sunday is worse as we'd have been able to put the West Ham game back, after being well and truly screwed by TNT now we have to play the derby on Wednesday. It's an impossible schedule now, given we have little margin for error in the league. Well and truly fucked over. Klopp will be seething.

Arsenal themselves never looked back from losing that game and have enjoyed more rest as well as winning every game.

The first leg of the Europa semifinal is away, isn't it? That would mean 5 away games in a row!

Then Spurs after that as well who'll have a free midweek and only a 40 game season.

Villa away after the 2nd leg of the semi (if we get through). Hopefully they get through in the conference league at least.

Who actually decides these fixture changes? Is it an individual, committee, group? What's the process as any of these 'fixture changers' will more than likely support certain teams and could be influenced by helping or making life easier for clubs in the race for end of season prizes but there again it's the PL so no real logic to anything they do. Is there an appeals process can clubs protest and get anywhere with it?  :no

The only real beneficial change we could have is moving the WH game to Apr 28th for a bit of breathing space but it obviously moves it closer to the potential EL SF on May 2nd so other than that there's not much wiggle room but all you want to see is an equal playing field which went out the window years ago so not expecting any help from anywhere!
