Don't think I could put it in order apart from number 1, but off the top of my head.

1) The Thick Of It
The Sopranos
Better Call Saul
Curb Your Enthusiasm
The Wire
Arrested Development
Spaced
Rick and Morty
Blackadder
The Day Today

It was like the Kevin and Perry sketches x2 x half hour x 4 seasons but still pretty funny, immature nonsense.

Yeah, I still laugh at them if I see them repeated anywhere. Struck a chord with most non cool kids growing up everywhere I think. Obviously immature but plenty of bits you can relate too…well I could anyway.

Will GOT drop down people’s lists from when this thread started in 2014? Do those who get offended by the last series or two still have affection for what went before?

Always find these lists hard and end up with too much comedy when there must be tons of great dramas I’ve not seen or forgotten about.

Same, my list would mainly (if not all) sitcoms. Probably because they're the ones I watch over and over and over again. Unlike dramas, even the best ones, which I don't tend to watch again nearly as much.

Another show i would have totally missed if it wasn't for RAWK

It is genuinely my number 1 of all time.  Some of the classic British (and Irish) sitcoms come close like Ted, Partridge, Blackadder etc but Mr Inbetween is 100% the best drama I've ever seen

Yeah same, i binged season 1 in the garden one afternoon in the sun with my laptop and a few beers.

Also it seems a lot of people discovered the show during the Lockdowns as well according to the Mr Inbetween Reddit page.

Cult classic it seems.

GOT has not made my list this time. I know some people have put the first four series or something like that, but for me if it doesn't end well there is no way I am watching it again. All the shows in my list are ones I'd watch again without exception.

I love Whose Line, but was never a massive fan of that version. On average it was probably funnier than the original, but for me thats because it was less risky, they stuck with the safest games, and some games were far too short.

The original was extremely hit and miss, which I preferred because it felt more genuinely improvised, of which dying on your arse is a huge part. Also Clive Anderson was extremely underrated.

The original also had more of a rotation of players so it did have more variety, even if it didn't always land. Colin and Ryan were still the best though.

I think for me personally I can look past how it ended just because of how big a part of my life it was, it basically spanned my 20s. It's the only show I can remember being that big, the ultimate water cooler show, every Monday & Tuesday everyone in work would be talking about it. I used to jump in a discord call with a load of friends and we'd have a few drinks and all watch it together.

Everyone on social media and forums would be talking about that weeks episode and speculating about what's going to happen next week. I think that's a 'problem' with the binge model that shows tend to have now, people will watch a show the first weekend/week it comes out and then it just gets forgotten about all together.

In no order...

The Sopranos
The X-Files
Firefly
The Expanse
BSG
Breaking Bad
Twin Peaks
Band of Brothers
Father Ted
The Boys

Game of Thrones would have made it in there, but for the last series of it. Deserves an honourable mention for being as good as anything I've ever watched up until a certain point and probably no other show, bar Breaking Bad and the X-Files, being as big as a pop cultural phenomenon as it as when it was in its stride.

I agree, one of Alan Bleasdale's best in my opinion, for some reason it often goes under the radar.

Its strange I was only watching some clips from it a few weeks ago like  Michael Palins speech about socialism and to me, it shows how far right the Labour party has gone since then at that time to be left wing was near enough seen as militant left and the right of the party believed in Jeremy Corbyn type policies and leadership

How times have changed indeed

Hard to pick out 10 but over the years these have been standouts for me …

I Claudius
The Wire
Fringe
The World at War
The Ascent of Man
Game of Thrones
Cosmos
Boys from The Blackstuff
Morse
Star Trek
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain

I would almost have to do sitcoms as a separate list from dramas, but combining them, maybe something like ...

1. Gomorra
2. Deadwood
3. Lost
4. Boardwalk Empire
5. Northern Exposure
6. Spiral (Engrenages)
7. NYPD Blue
8. Seinfeld
9. Battlestar Galactica (original)
10. Toast of London

I think you almost have to separate anime into its own category, but if it were included my list would start:

1. One Piece
2. Battle of the Planets

Some bad wool choices here lad. The bolded though...an absolute gem of a series. Massively underappreciated. One of those shows that grows on you as it becomes a part of your life, something that you missed when it finished. I know I did.
