is fucking appalling today. Pitch black outside and torrential rain for the last few hours and now the thunder and lightning is kicking in. And some of you have this to come.

It is shocking in both London and Oxfordshire today. It is like night time.

The really, really annoying thing is that both of my bosses were supposed to be going to the cricket today, leaving me to go home early. They are both still bloody here!!

It seems to becoming more of a pattern.  Glorious springtime and a long balmy autumn but with a thoroughly miserable wet and stormy July / Aug in the middle.

It has been freaky this year.

In the run up to the flooding in Yorkshire in June, 101mm of rain fell at Fylingdales in 24 hours. To put that in perspective, the previous record rainfall total in England for all June was 121mm.
