On a positive note, the Brazilians should be back Wednesday AM, much better than a night game in the Americas

Also, the African cup of nation's, isn't that for players playing for clubs in Africa...would be nice for our African contingent to get a break

So sterling has a break now..............

Quote

Sterling believed to have asked if Gomez still thought he was the “big man” before getting into his face looking for a reaction.

Gomez impressed others by refusing to be goaded into retaliating physically and instead taking a step back.

Hope Henderson could make it back in time. His energy would be missed against a stubborn Crystal Palace.

Gomez should get a well-deserved rest after being unfairly put through the unnecessary stressed caused by a vermin.

See I never understand this. Why ?  Brazil managers are under intense scrutiny and pressure to win every game. You can also bet your life Firmino wants to play every minute of every game for his country to stay first choice. Firmino is one of the best players in the world, of course he plays him, friendly or not

For who though ?  For Liverpool fans. I agree its shite like don't get me wrong. But a Brazil manager has to win like f**k, and Firmino is their best striker, so playing your best man is hardly criminal. If he does go on and get the chop, the next man will do the same, and Firmino will love playing every minute

He has to win like fuck so he makes 6 changes in the 2nd half? He makes changes in midfield, at the back, yeah that's not what you do in a competitive match, you do that in friendlies, playing a game that non one is arsed about in the middle east.

He had to keep 5 men on the whole time then, he pisses someone off no matter what he does is all I'm saying. I hate internationals as much as the next man but the international managers will always get it in the neck from someone no matter what they do. It's the way it is, no point moaning about it as if they are doing it to hurt us

It's not about hurting us it's about protecting the player. I have no problem with managers trying to win competitive matches, but these aren't competitive matches, they're cash grabs.

True enough. I could be way off here but isn't it the case that he's been taken off in their last 5 games before last nights ? If that's the case it really is fair enough.  Its not like a recurring theme. As I say I may have that wrong apologies if so. Main thing he's fine and dandy though. I'd say our training upon return is tailored to account for who's played what.

Yep - it was "marred" all right ... only because of and by the neanderthal element that needed to boo the wrong person for the wrong/no reason.

The state of those replies. I can taste the tears.

The best was the last post about how the Liverpool payers will be miraculously ready for the next game....kind of like Man United did with impunity for 20 years?

Also I recall the last round of internationals where Salah withdrew .... and missed the next game thanks to Choudary's assault.

Hopefully Trent is on the bench tonight.

Int break been ok so far in terms of players getting a break.

Milner
Robertson(Injury)
Salah(injury)
Henderson
Wijnaldum(illness)
Fabinho just 35 mins
Gomez (sub appearane)
Van Dijk(1 game)
Lovren (not in squad)

Apart from Mane  & probably Firmino not many of our players playing 180 mins over the break.

Hopefully no injuries.

Hopefully the reason is he wants to win the league!
