Back to there, then. Personally happy as I should be able to make it this time around.

We sit in the opposite end this time.  ;)

Best draw for members, COVID definitely a bigger issue than it was before so will probably be very late ticket sales again

We went to Milan via Como last week. Would recommend anyone doing the same if you can't be bothered staying in Milan for the entire trip. Lovely little place with some stunning views, especially when you take a boat trip on the lake. Won't be many tourists around by February as Como is mostly popular in the summer so hotel prices will be okay. Would love to go again but can't justify it financially..

Christ no, they'd be murders! Milan are always in the Curva Sud and Inter are always in the Curva Nord.

What are ur guys hunches about a members sale as they happened for all group stage aways? Hoping as its a 80000 seater that we could get a decent allocation even with covid so they could do a member sale?

well AC didn't sell out on 3200, full allocation will probably drop to all members, anything less it's hard to say but there's a decent chance

Yep, with it being a 'repeat' trip, probable big allocation, no credit, covid requirements, even though its last 16 (and meaningful) rather than group....... think it definitely drops if no reduction in attendance

did it? There was still good amount of tickets at 4am and they took it off the site at 7:30 that morning, if it did sell out fine but you could easily get a ticket if you wanted one

Saw a tweet from Napoli that attendances are going down to 50%. So we might end up with less for Inter than we did AC...

I found this, dated 23rd December, saying 75%

https://football-italia.net/new-restrictions-for-serie-a-stadiums-but-capacity-remains/

New restrictions for Serie A stadiums, but capacity remains

It’s reported Italian stadiums will remain at 75 per cent capacity, but fans will be ordered to wear their masks at all times and the Green Pass remains mandatory.

To be fair... thats exactly what we had to do on December 7th (not that anyone did with the masks)

Serie A stadiums return to 50 per cent capacity

by Susy Campanale | Dec 29, 2021 21:26

It’s reported Serie A stadiums will be downgraded to 50 per cent capacity and the chequerboard seating plan returned as a reaction to growing COVID-19 cases.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and other sources this evening, the Italian Government is taking action after almost 100,000 new positive tests were posted today in the country.

That includes restrictions on attendance for football matches in open-air stadiums from the return of Serie A games on January 6.

It is due to come back down from 75 per cent to 50 per cent, with the seating in a chequerboard pattern, in other words with as much social distancing as is possible in the circumstances.

There was already a rule imposing masks at all times for supporters in the stands, while the Green Pass will no longer be enough to gain entry.

They now require the Super Green Pass, showing proof of vaccination or recent recovery from COVID-19, so a negative test within 48 hours of the event is no longer acceptable.

Unlike many other leagues, Serie A never returned to 100 per cent capacity after the first lockdown in March 2020.

Elsewhere, Spain is reducing to 75 per cent, while countries like Germany and France are playing behind closed doors.

....

Super green pass? A new elite

Read something about UEFA could review moving to a neutral venue as they don't want to endorse places with vaccine mandates.
Just paper talk I imagine. Couldn't see Liverpool being bothered on it.

One of my mates mentioned before the Match yesterday, the possibility of both legs being played in a neutral venue. Hoping that’s not the case.

From January 15 to February 5, crowd capacity only 5,000 and no away fans allowed in Italy. I know we're a week after but doesn't bode well 🙁

I can’t find a source that confirms this but a bloke on Facebook says”… Italian health minister was reported as saying yesterday that they hope to return to 50% capacity after the international break, and to 100% from the beginning of Spring.”

Yes I know, it is hardly authoritative  ;)

It can all change fast though, look at Scotland where they went from full capacity to only 500 and back to full in the space of a month..

Well Italy recorded nearly 230k cases today and that's increasing from the previous days (still rampant across Europe, with France showing 464k today). So, the picture could change in a few weeks, but those case numbers in Europe need to start coming down soon to have any hope.

omicron seems to just burn quickly through communities so i'm thinking we might be ok for at least a partial crowd.

also hoping my fave gelato spot in Milan is still open  :D
