Both stadiums are about 50k or so right?

Yup. 52.5k and 55k I think.

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Presumably they're likely to sell out - so is strange we didn't look for larger stadiums.

Then again I guess deals were done with the local councils/tourist boards to offer us a financial package to go to those locations given the amount of people and exposure they'll bring to the area.

Think they're the largest stadia in the two cities Liverpool are playing in. Sydney and Melbourne have the larger stadia with the MCG where Liverpool played last time around being the largest of it all. In a way, I think they've done this because this gives them a chance to spread the games a bit geographically. They might have reasonably expected 100,000 in ticket sales again but decided to spread it to two less travelled-to cities based on local tourism perks as well as having more access to the casual football fanbase as opposed to the hardcore supporter that would travel anyway. Assuming there are 5k hard core fans in each city, that leaves another 45-50k to be filled in. If another 5-10k fans travel up from other parts of Australia, that still leaves around 35,000-40,000 seats to fill. And I suspect the club thought that should be easy enough to do in two cities of a million plus people. Celtic, and Everton have both stopped in Brisbane before as well but clearly neither have anywhere near the draw that Liverpool do.

I think it was more which State Government was willing to stump the most money for the appearance fee.

It was hard enough getting tickets for the 100,000 MCG, but you never know.

They sold 35,000 tickets in 30 minutes of the PRE-sale and it was completely sold out in less than a day. Wouldn't expect tickets to these two games to last as long.

It's a local game for me this time, so don't mind stumping up a little more for tickets.

I'm all sorted on the waitlist for Brisvegas - amazing they are coming to my home town.  Fucking brilliant.  Made the trip to Melbourne last year with my son, hoping we'll get 4 tickets this year and get along.  Suncorp is a fantastic stadium, just watched the Australia v China game there a couple of weeks ago.  Giddyup!

Don't think Thomas Cook even exists here in Australia. Even if they did, it would be much cheaper to organise yourself.

Don't think there's any real "allocation" for the game, so just watch the ticket sellers (will be on www.ticketek.com.au I believe) and book some accomodation and away you go :)

Mind you, the club may have some packages if you want to go with a crew

Has there been any confirmation of the locations for the other 2 games in the Far East? (before & after the games in Oz).  Had heard Macau & Indonesia, but nothing has been confirmed yet.  Wouldn't mind doing a trip there in the summer.

Does anybody know when the Brisbane and Adelaide tickets go on sale on Ticketek. I saw somewhere that the sale starts at 08:00am on 09/02/2015 but can't see a sell section on Ticketek for tomorrow and Tiketek offices don't open until 09:00.
When I registered to go on  the wait list my Liverpool membership said it would send a code but nothing so far(I seem to remember they promised the same for the Melbourne game but didn't send a code).

I got to the payment screen for 2 $96 tickets and processing payment had an error

Tried again at about 9:00am local time and got 1 $200 ticket, so it looks like my son misses out,
or I try and snag one apart in the general sale

Is that 12:30 Brisbane time or 1:30. Thank fuck I checked the thread today. Ticketek's emails had gone to my junk folder and I hadn't seen the ticket release info until now.

Tickets are definitely pricier this time. I think we were discussing this earlier in the thread about why the club was playing in two smaller stadiums ? Well, tickets are three times as expensive for concession card holders like me. $75 for tickets in the Kop. And the Kop block ticket I was getting was in some far off corner up in the top tiers. I just want to be in the middle behind the goal. Not much to ask for. :(

Edit: Just rejoined the Queensland supporters page to see if I can nab a ticket or two in the standing section.
