Welcome to the Last Auction Heroes draft!



The rules:

- Each participant is tasked with building a squad of 21 players.
- Your total budget is 300m (SM prices). The gameworld economy will be on the lowest setting, so spend it wisely!
- Messi & Ronaldo aren't available for selection. You can pick any other player aged 24 or older (as of 3rd February 2019), so long as they're on the SM database. Players aged 23 & younger will only be available in the supplementary drafts at the end of each season.
- After the draft, you can use any remaining cash to supplement your squad, so long as you stay below the squad cap (35 players maximum).

Stop being a massive stick in the mud. The discussion is already in here. Let's just have fun with it. Chatshit is the number 1 reason for drafting. The comradery of the SG draft is half of what made the world come together so nicely, and made a great foundation for the current SG discussion thread too. SM is a terrible platform for chatting on. No-one can be arsed to scroll down 4 billion messages every single time someone writes a new comment. I've also stopped commenting on them to avoid the endless notifications for every new post!

Drafts on the caf mix the discussion in with the selections, and it works fine. I'm happy to drop in occasionally and quote the selections list so people are constantly aware of where we are in the order.

If we create the GW & start with empty squads then there's a danger that the game could start signing random players for us.

This way we build our squads before creating the GW, then when we create it we can join & sign the players we've already picked.

Yeah, I get you. The problem is that SM doesn't really work either. Once you go beyond about 20 comments, it becomes a pain to scroll through. Like I say, I don't even want to comment on anything to avoid the neverending notifications! I can start a separate discussion thread, but Kesey is going to keep commenting in here whatever we do
