The deadlock is finally broken and it's 1-0 to Liverpool! Bit of a scrappy goal, but Natasha Harding scores the first goal of the new WSL campaign.

Are this Everton team being coached by Big Dunc? They are a bit ruthless, ie dirty b@@@@@@s

Haha yeah, seems that way doesn't it? Definitely some tackles that could and should have seen yellows.

Niamh Charles with the second goal! She looks like a pretty good player and only 18 - one to keep an eye on!

And that's that 2-0 to the mighty Reds!

Well done to the ladies team. Always nice to get one over on the blues.

On a side note, just noticed a piece on the beeb website about the game and saw it had quite a few comments. Good grief, wish I hadn't now. Every remotely positive comment gets voted down. Every snide, Daily Mail style comment gets voted up.

Went to my first ladies match last night with the family.

Everyone loved it.

We are looking to go to a few more matches in the future. Is there ever the case ie Man city, when you need a ticket before hand? Or can you always get in.

After back to back league defeats against Arsenal and Man City, the Reds were back to winning ways this afternoon, in the 5th round of the FA cup. We beat Chichester 3-0 away from home and go through to the quarter finals.

The draw takes place tomorrow morning, and these are the teams left:

Arsenal
Charlton
Chelsea
Durham
Everton
Sunderland
(Most probably) Man City - their game against Birmingham is currently in extra time, but Man City are 2-1 up.

Ended on a high, as we beat Sunderland 3-1.

The FA Cup draw for the quarter finals was on Monday, and we're at home against Chelsea. A difficult tie that is, as Chelsea are currently leading the WSL1 - Man City are second after a somewhat shocking defeat to Birmingham yesterday evening. The other matches are:

Sunderland - Man City
Arsenal - Charlton
Durham - Everton

To be played Sunday March 18th.

The semi-finals (both on 15th April) and the final (5th May) are going to be shown live on the BBC, though frustratingly, I'm unlikely to be able to watch either of them.

Our store selling women’s team kit with bespoke sponsor and full player customisation has been such a long time coming. We should have been doing this years ago.

I don’t think I will ever not be annoyed that the current home shirt was never sold with the women’s sponsor in a size which would fit me. I delayed getting the shirt in case it ever became available with Avon, and after months and months of me waiting while people pestered them the club finally sold a limited amount but the only sizes they ended up doing were too big. Gutted. Still haven’t got the current home shirt as a result.

I don’t particularly like the new one. My size is sold out already anyway, as are many of the sizes. Might have to try and squeeze into a junior (there are some perks to being small). I don’t mind chucking money into the women’s budget just for the hell of it. Assuming they do in fact pocket the revenue.

Scott Rogers departs Liverpool Ladies FC

Liverpool Ladies Football Club can confirm that Scott Rogers has left the Club today by mutual consent and the process to appoint a new manager is underway.

Interesting. Some strange stuff happening at the Ladies team right now, what with some big names moving on. I wonder what's happening behind the scenes........?

Hasn't been the best of seasons either. Why are we not competing properly for the title again?! Investment? Attitude? Personnel? All this and more needs to be looked at........

Liverpool aren't competing for the title because the budgets of Chelsea, Man City and, to a certain extent, Arsenal are much bigger than theirs. Those clubs are then able to bring in the best talent from those other clubs to weaken them. 4th is probably the best Liverpool can hope for now unless someone decides to pump more money in

Real shame we were not back in for Casey Stoney. That felt like a full circle story.

Money will talk as it does at all levels of football. Even when Barca come calling you listen.

Looks like a big rebuild job this season. The target will probably be to finish above Everton.

But from what I have heard the LFC development squad is quite good and we do have a head start over the newbies in the league.

Glad that they have moved away from Widnes.

Interesting appointment. Not sure how he'll fare, and the WSL2 is not a great barometer given what his job at Liverpool will probably be. Wasn't too great on the men's side of coaching though.

Can’t really disagree with any of that. But a change was desperately needed and a change is what we’ve got. So on that purely basic level it’s a step in the right direction.

I want to praise the club for being quick enough to get a new manager in by early June since there is whole new squad needs building here – but I‘m struggling because the reason a whole new squad needs building in the first place is because we weren’t quick enough to act at the first sign of trouble and have instead waited until the wheels, doors, mirrors, bonnet, boot and exhaust all fell off.

We really have made a mess of things.
