If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

For anyone interested in "micro-tactics", to coin a phrase.

Cocu seems to have the Derby defenders drop right onto the back post in open play, when the ball is in shooting position wide of the posts on the opposite side, leaving the keeper to only worry about the near post. Never saw that before at this level.

Cocu has Derby playing a more sophisticated game in 50 minutes than Fat Frank managed in 40+ last year ;D

Given the ludicrous state of the transfer market - where unproven players are commanding incredible fees, I’m gobsmacked that Aaron Mooy hasn’t been given an opportunity to play alongside better footballers in the top tier. He’s exactly the sort of two footed, head-up creative player who would thrive in a team where the bulk of players are technically and tactically aware.

Well there's only 3 days left in the transfer window, so it might be a Mooy point in any case.

Really? Did he employ that tactic at PSV?

I see on Twitter people are going nuts about Matt Clarke's performance.

I didn't realise Liam Rosenior was on the coaching staff at Derby now. If he can get his points across as well as he did on TV, he'll be a fantastic addition for them, he is excellent and very very knowledgeable to listen to.Good luck to him.

Stoke fans hate him as well. They blame him more than any other player for where they are. He's been awful since they were relegated, apparently.

Not a single touch in the Leeds penalty area in the first half.

Leeds have been great but how poor have Derby been?

Strange it’s only 1-0

Leeds missed a penalty and Derby equalised in injury time. Seems like that was slightly against the run of play!

Swiss Ramble did a cash flow analysis of all the Championship teams.  Long and short of it is there is no operating profit in the Championship and they are all dependant on their owners or they would fail.
