Spoiling if anyone hasn't caught up with the final yet...

Spoiler
Was always going to be Tom. Looked a potential winner from the first episode and think he was clearly levels above the other two (who had good finals).

Spoiler
Yeah agreed it was always going to be him. Said the same from the off.

Something about him seemed off though - as in he looked too good to be an amateur if that makes sense - I always got the sense he’d had some training/worked in kitchens before.

When Tom first started the competition talking about working front of house of a high end restaurant I was expecting a Michelin star restaurant or a high end bistro etc

Then they show that Nandos logo....

Yeah thought that was weird too. I do wonder if that was just to try and play down his link to working in a high end restaurant and the obvious links to decent chefs (and possibly working with them so not strictly amateur).

Celebrity Masterchef lineup.

That Megan has been on cookery show before and wasn't bad. No idea about the others.

That last week of the Professionals might be the best first round I've ever seen. I'd be shocked if there wasn't at least one finalist in that group.

It’s like you only get on the show now if you’ve got an annoying loud personality

Gordon Ramsay's place and food was stunning.

Food looked amazing but he obviously been told to tone down what he does on the US version.

I mean an undercooked lobster raviole and he didn't scream 'IT'S FUCKING RAW!!!!'. :P

No major favourites in the final.

Radha just screams Tory
Pookie is weird and crazy
Eddie is probably the favourite but is about as interesting as a damp sponge

I don't know, in the US MasterChef he has toned it down to be more the cooking guru/god for the Americans, and they have Joe Bastianich being the bad guy, like some Manhattan wise guy.

Just catching up.

Is Eubank wearing a sheriff's badge?

 :o
A Tory, a worker and an immigrant are sat round a table. There's a plate of 10 biscuits in the middle. The Tory takes 9 then turns to the worker and says "that immigrant is trying to steal your biscuit"

OK, but why wear a sheriff's badge on a British cookery show?

Apparently the main chef of Cucina Did Vincenzo is going to turn up in Professionals.

Vincenzo's is imho the best Italian in Liverpool - for those who don't know it's on Woolton Road and also has a stall in Duke Street Market, and it is great - the lobster ravioli is top notch
