Bobbys a great footballer but he isn’t a “wonderful technician”, and that right there is the problem.

From the Echo at the time of Rodgers's sacking:

Rodgers was the driving force behind signing the likes of Fabio Borini, Joe Allen, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Rickie Lambert, Danny Ings, James Milner and Christian Benteke, while the other members of the committee championed the suitability of players such as Daniel Sturridge, Philippe Coutinho, Sakho, Emre Can, Moreno, Luis Alberto, Iago Aspas, Lazar Markovic, Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino.

Rodgers clearly didnt fancy him, when he played he was just put out on the wing where he is pretty much pointless.

Ya he was good today think he might go up a level this year, if you think that's possible. Looks like its all natural to his Brazilian self.

For me he was amazing in 17/18 but didn't hit those heights in 18/19. He looked very sharp in the first half, he's such a joy to watch when he's on it.

I don't think these Norwich players would have come up against the likes of Firmino before, at some stages they just couldn't get near him at all, brilliant performance and unlucky not to bag a couple

For a second in the move that ended with his volley that Krul saved, he thought about the overhead kick. Damn i wish he did it

That chest and turn was brilliant and deserved a goal. It wasn't far from it either, Krul made a great save.

But he stole an almost certain goal when the ball was going to Origi's legs just a yard out of the line...

Read a great quote that someone wrote on social media.  Watch the game, you don't see Firmino.  Watch Firmino, you see the whole game.

He's just pure quality and the most underrated player about.

He's somehow found another gear from somewhere.  Such a wonderful football player and clearly tipped it back in our favour after his introduction.

I wouldn't swap him for anyone. Mo is the superstar and Mane oozes class, but Bobby is our most important player.

In hindsight, how lucky were Spurs that he wasn’t fit for the CL Final? It’d have been a massacre if he’d been on it like he has this season
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

He absolutely added an extra physical dimension when he came on, I found his contribution to the midfield even more vital than his attacking abilites. We still created well without him in the first half, but were overwhelmed in midfield until he came on. His ability to consistently break down tight defenses AND solidify shaky midfields against strong opposition is, without hyperbole, pushing him into legendary status at this club.
Go off to sleep in the sunshine, I don't want to see the day when it's dying
