Is he molar less ready for his call up to the first team ?

I would say so....his lateral movement is good and he`s incisor in the tackle.

I wonder if Man United have a Cleverly appreciation thread.

Probably not as Cleverly is a good player but not really exceptional. Most likely have threads following Morrison and Pogba. Last time I peroused the cafe there was a thread following Wellbeck so i think fans wanting their young players to succeed is fairly universal. I think Bebe has his own thread but i don't think it is very complimentary.

It is good that we have such outstanding youngsters and Wisdom Suso and Sterling are certainly the three that have grabbed the attention. Maybe one of the others will grab the headlines next season. Supporting the youth is a good thing.

Wisdom's been playing well for a long long time.

Lad's a monster.
That is spot on Cpt, this lad is a beast. He's been at a consistent level for a while now, injured earlier in the season, but his level as always been the same.

Just thought I would post here that Wisdom, Suso, Ince and others are confirmed to be playing this weekend in the Honk Kong International 7s. Good luck boys - this is the first time Liverpool have entered the competition. I will hopefully be able to watch them and will report backk in due course.

Along with Liverpool's trip to Guangzhou this can only help raise our profile over in the far East.

Been in the last few sets of training pics. Looks as if he's been promoted to Melwood full time, unsurprising if it's the case.

Did really well, and loved the funny little drag back thing first time i saw it.

By the third time I was thinking, a better opponent would be all over that.

Just going from what I can see from him I think if he has the potential to be a better LB than Kelly or Flannagan. May not be as good defensively but I think his all round game is much better than any other of our young RBs.

Wisdom was very good, he's got the potential to make the next step. It would be fair to say he showed 'Wisdom' beyond his years (I thank you.. 8))

Good shout to Andy@Allerton for spotting his potential and starting a thread last year.   Also, I suppose we should mention LFCs scouting set up for spotting him eight years earlier.

Aside from being a very good player, not just a good defender a good footballer he's also a leader. Does a very good job captaining the Ressies. Always very vocal and never hides. Got some good character among our young lads, Wisdom as I say but there's also Coady who's a born leader, Spearing captained all the way through the youth teams and the reserves, Sterling never bitches or moans despite the treatment he suffers at the hands of defenders, Morgan puts in the miles every game he plays like a mini Dirk Kuyt.

Character can't be taught and a few of the lads, including Wisdom, have it in droves. Itll stand them, and us, in good stead.

Coady / Wisdom / Morgan / Sterling all learned about the right mentality from Borrell, it's not a co-incidence that they all happen to be mentally strong

I think he did very well on his debut.

I wanted to mention one thing about the little piece of skill he did a couple of times through the game. I'm sure others know what I'm talking about here - he's defending a YB lad when the ball comes towards them and he lets the ball run across a little bit before he dinks it with his "back" leg into that little bit of space. Now, it's an isolated piece of skill and should be treated as such but what it indicated was an awareness and understanding of space around him and the technique and confidence to act on it. As was seen during the game, he would dink it into open space and since it was intentional, he would change his body shape towards the ball, leaving the YB player in the wrong position, and being free from danger ready to capitalize.

Very encouraging for a very young lad making his debut.

Wow. What a terrific performance. Never looked daunted or out of his depth tonight. Infact he looked the complete opposite, composed, comfortable on the ball and making all the right decisions both on and off the ball. He'll be putting Kelly under pressure before too long.

Said before the game i wasn't happy about him at RB. But i'm left amazed at how much he proved me wrong. Though it was pre season, he did look pretty poor on the ball, almost as sloppy as Kelly in those friendlies. However, today he was perfect. Neat, strong and quick. Both he and Kelly will be CB's. Hopefully he gets more game time and continues to start in the Europa and League cup. He has the ability and playing at RB he can get away with mistakes if he makes em slightly more than at CB.
