Higgins should of lost against Gilbert and was lucky Robbo was off form & played one of the worst matches he has all season.

Ronnie said Trump could run away with this final before if started and that's what's happening at the minute.

I doubt Higgins is winning 13 frames from here and if he does come back to win to come back massively in a semi final and final rarely happens.

Can't remember the last time I saw a performance like this.  Unreal.

Whatever Trump did at the start of the season it has totally changed how clinical he is.  Used to be such a bottler but this is something else.

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Didn't want Higgins to get to the final and this is way.

Gilbert must be kicking himself because at least he would of entertained us.

I remember watching Trump when he was 14 (playing Ronnie) and being talked about as a future great, like Davis, Hendry, O'Sullivan etc.

He's always had the talent, but it's taken him a while to develop the discipline that's required

Ridiculous standard Trump is playing to here - I've been playing and watching for 30 odd years and I've never seen anything so outrageous, so clinical and so effective in such a sustained period of frames in all that time.  Players have dished out thrashings before and played brilliantly many a time but this is something else.

Have been very critical of Judd in the past due to his lack of game intelligence/tactical awareness/discipline/impatience but deep respect for this showing.

Riga Masters off to a bit of a dodgy start, cancelled flights mean Robertson is out cause he can't defend....  ::)

Watching Cahill vs Williams on Eurosport, backing James. He was really impressive demolishing Ronnie a few months ago and at 23 he's very much one to watch

If he can get past Williams it might open up for him, there's only like 2 other players from the top 20

I jinxed the poor sod :D

4-3 to Williams. Was a good match, noticed Cahill got Williams into very tricky snookers like he did Ronnie, and just tore points off him. His potting was impressive too, some fantastic shots, nice little shoves or pocket-rattlers...

Becoming a big fan of the lad. Different parts of his game are really up there. But Williams is class, and he put the game away tonight.

Mark Selby took 6 minutes 13 seconds to play 1 (!) shot against Higgins. No wonder he’s known as an entertainer. O’Sullivan could’ve made a maximum and gone for a piss in that time.

Snooker really needs to get its act together and sort things like this out.

Selby was 66-0 up and it took him over 6 mins to play his shot.

Disgrace. Kills the game in turns of making it attractive.

Brilliant final. Ronnie played superbly; Judd played even better. He's just sensational at the moment. There was a positional shot in the semi where he sent the white in and out of baulk to set up for a red along the bottom cushion - it was just out of this world. Fair play to him - he's worked hard and in conjunction with his natural talent he's reaping serious rewards.

That's why a lot of people have stopped watching snooker, when you likes of Selby taking the piss over what isn't too difficult a shot, that situation there should be a warning after 2 minutes, then maybe forfeit the frame or something. :butt

Has anyone been to a snooker tournament before?

I have been a fan of snooker for as long as I can remember .I am off in December and the Scottish open is on at the same time. I am considering going through to Glasgow to watch this but never attended one before.

I play in the Locarno snooker hall in Edinburgh home to Scott Donaldson who is happy to sort out some tickets for this.

Yes, I won an ebay auction in Sheffield for an exercise bike that was collect only, because I couldn't think of a better excuse to tell the wife to spend the day there. When I went out for a break, it was on a big screen in the square outside the Crucible, so I ordered lunch and sat in the sun with a pint and a steak. On a nice warm day next time, I would just sit outside for the whole thing, go in for the evening session. It could be different now with so much happening in the glass atrium that was brand new back then (and all the TV extras they do now), but just tick it off your list of experiences anyway.
