Disingenous of him to say this one day "...You people, you come to our country..." - Who might he mean by that, Martians? Then in a radio interview the next day to play tough guy and not apologise, claiming he did not mean immigrants, he meant "Everybody should wear the poppy", and that he was only standing up for veterans; who would disagree with that? Now he's passing across as the martyr who stood up for patriotic values all would agree with. He spins, and passes across as the folk hero who never backs down on his honourbale principles.
