Is it only me but shouldn't the defending league champions be on tv on the first weekend as well? They are technically defending their title.

They are on TV... in all other countries apart from the UK.

Chelsea v Burnley sounds like a pile of shite and will end up about 4-0. So the broadcasters obviously don't want to waste a pick on this, when there are more attractive games on offer

Yeah, and IMO this would take place in the new year. But if TV moves this game to 2nd (or 3rd) January (and the same for the Leicester match), it would be possible for the Liverpool-Leicester match to be played on New Years Eve.

I can't find information anywhere stating, if this is a possible scenario.
