Without having seen much of him beyond clips, he looks like he has a great awareness of space, decent speed and physicality and a good range of finishes. Looks like he's reasonably hardworking as well.

The fact that he's all of the above and also probably not injury prone already means we have an upgrade on our fourth choice striker.

It's a good move knowing that we cannot be sure when Ings will be in a fit state to play for us plus the fact that we cannot sign academy players (albeit they are much younger).

Criticism would only be warranted if there was little or no other business done this summer. Since it is only the 1st June, there is no need to start whinging.

Welcome to Liverpool Dominic, hope you do well and force you way into the team!

Some clubs were always destined for greatness...

Tomkins is just the opposite side of the same coin of hyperbole. An extended essay about a Chelsea reserve player - filled with references to the true striking elite of the last generation.

Did a similar article about the Spurs kids we signed - along with countless others over the years. He's as bad as the people he criticises.

Maybe just sit back and see how he develops? Worth a punt for £3m but it's not exactly something to get excited about...although may turn out that way in future...and certainly not something to get furious about.

Well said that man

Welcome kid !

Big boots to live up to (EDIT: "fill", no one lives up to boots...) seeing as the last young striker to come in this direction was Studge...

Anyway, I jest.. No pressure :)

He looks as good a teenage talent as any but only a small fraction of that talent go on to the level high enough to be Liverpool's starting striker. It's a punt but for the potential, if feels like a really good one.

I regard him as a one for one replacement for Jerome SInclair. For the price, I think that's about right. Spot duties for us here and there, with the potential for more minutes if he improves.

Good goal that. He got a great ball through, to be honest, but our man Coutinho could give him those to finish all day.

First time I've watched him play. Looks dangerous. Smart signing for us.

That's one thing I noticed in the clips I've seen since we announced it - he's always looking to play a teammate in.

Thought he did well, worked his socks off up front and got the winner.

There are some good prospects in this squad, it will be interesting to see how many of them go on to establish themselves at the highest level.

Some of his passes in that clip were excellent. He's got some very nice vision; seems naturally creative.

Think we've got a gem here.
