I'll check to see which channel will show these as each comes up. Last season some preseason matches were shown on NESN.

Liverpool’s pre-season programme

July 7, Chester City @ Swansway Chester Stadium (Live on LFCTV GO) 10 AM Eastern
July 11, Tranmere Rovers @ Prenton Park (Live on LFCTV GO) 2:30 PM Eastern
July 14, Bury @ Energy Check Stadium (Live on LFCTV GO) 10 AM Eastern
July 19, Blackburn Rovers @ Ewood Park (Live on LFCTV GO) 2:45 PM Eastern.

July 22, Borussia Dortmund @ Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina--ESPN-- 4PM Eastern

July 25, Manchester City @ MetLife Stadium, New Jersey-- ESPN2-- 8PM Eastern

July 28, Manchester United @ Michigan Stadium, Ann Arbor, Michigan--ESPN-- 5PM Eastern

August 4, Napoli @ Aviva Stadium, Dublin (Live on LFCTV GO) 1PM Eastern
August 7, Torino @ Anfield (Live on LFCTV GO) 2:30 PM Eastern

But if you don't want to hassle with scrambling for a poor quality stream, you can always sign up for LFCTV for a month.

Anyone in New England check to see if NESN will carry the Chester match live with your on screen tv guide?

I just checked their website and it's not listed. But maybe they don't udate their website that often..

Yeah, they don’t really update their guide until the last minute.  Will need to check in the morning to be sure.  I’m pretty sure that they showed all of the pre-season friendlies on NESN last year.

That's what I recall.

So it's LFCTVGO or nothing at the moment.

Keep us posted if NESN comes through.

Eleven Sports used to be One World Sports, if that helps anyone find it (at least, it was for me on FiOS).  I actually watch it quite a bit because they show a lot of darts...and yes I am probably the only American who is into darts LOL.  Maybe the guide on their website is better, but FWIW I've found that the guide on my cable box is often wrong for them (as in, maybe half the time whatever is on is completely different from what the guide says should be on).

So much for them showing it live.

Get ready to get fcuked over tv coverage this season.   :no

As i understand it, NBCSN will continue their normal tv coverage of the Premier League. However, you know those matches not on the NBC platform that are on their streaming service, apparently you now have to pay for that. You'll no longer be able to use your cable or satellite login to get it with your tv provider package. Now you'll have to pay extra for those matches.

NBC Sports Network adopted a similar strategy this year after four years of allowing cable subscribers to view all Premier League games online at no additional cost. It created Premier League Pass, a $50 streaming service that allows fans to watch 130 Premier League games. Those games, about a third of the season’s Premier League schedule, will no longer be available to cable subscribers.

Champions League

Turner broadcasting have those rights for the next 3 seasons. They plan on their streaming service for those "other" matches.

Of the 340 annual Champions League and Europa League matches that Turner acquired — games that have become a midweek afternoon staple for American fans — only about 60 will appear on television, mostly on truTV. The semifinals and finals of the Champions League will air on either TNT or TBS, as will the Europa League final.

Through the Champions League group stage in the fall, Turner will televise four matches a week — two each on Tuesday and Wednesday, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Eastern time. Beginning with the knockout stage in February, Turner will televise two matches a week, one each on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The other 280 or so matches will appear exclusively on Turner’s yet-to-be-named sports streaming service, which cable subscribers will have to purchase in order to watch the matches.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/17/sports/soccer/turner-champions-league-streaming-service.html

Now this article is a year old, but Turner Broadcasting appears not to have relented. Their streaming service is---Bleacher Report Live. That is where the CL matches will be shown if not on TruTV.

FA Cup

No longer on Fox.

Now, a new possibility is in play. IMG, which paid $1.2 billion for six years of the FA Cup international rights starting with the 2018-19 tournament, is attempting to package the FA Cup with broadcast rights to Italy’s Serie A to try and make the pot sweeter for potential bidders.

So far I can't substantiate where the hell the FA Cup will be shown. Streaming service is again what is being talked about. Either with ESPN+ or with Turner and Bleacher Report Live. I suspect some matches will be on tv however this is far from certain.
http://awfulannouncing.com/soccer/espn-turner-reportedly-at-head-of-sudden-race-for-italian-serie-a-tv-rights.html

Carabao League Cup...ESPN platforms. The only Cup with straight forward tv coverage it looks like.

It's going to be another mess this season for coverage at times.

If anyone has any further updates, chime in. :wave

I like their coverage more than Fox when they had it... but I'm not going to pay extra on top of my cable sub for the remaining matches, that's just too much for me.

As for the CL, it sounds like we're getting basically the same number of games on TV as we used to, with the option to pay for more. Am I right on that? Don't get me wrong, like the NBC thing I still don't like it (wish they'd just make them all free to stream with a cable sub...), but I'm not sure if it's a horror story. Really, it's just that it's a mess for us consumers because the demand for these matches is there, it's just not strong enough to convince these channels to just give all the matches to us...

It won't be long before the Amazon Facebook Apple have the rights for these games. We just have to wait for it a few more years....

Streaming is the future of all live sports.  In the not too distant future we’ll be having to buy streaming rights to every major sport if we want to watch it.

While streaming every match may be down the line in the future, what that may mean is having to pay multiple sites in order to watch every match. As i've shown above.

For this season ( if our matches were stream only), you'd have to pay ESPN, Turner, and NBC to get full coverage.
Maybe facebook or amazon, etc get involved down the road but they won't have every match, so you'll still be paying multiple sources to watch.

As it is for this season, it looks like either you pay Turner ( Bleacher Report Live) and NBC Premier League Pass in order to get our matches when they are not part of their TV package..or come in here to whinge when you can't watch because you're not paying extra for just  few matches. Then you're left with pirate streams-adverts, chances of adware/viruses, etc.

These companies aren't paying billions for rights just to make it easier for you to watch and not make a profit. Pay per view is coming back guised a different way.

Absolutely. We’ll either be Paying for multiple sites or waiting until the games are finished and watching them from using that site on reddit.

Cost breakdown for B/R Live for the UEFA competitions:

Single match — $2.99
Month subscription — $9.99
Year subscription — $79.99

I'm assuming like Fox they'll favor English teams for the games on TV along with Real Madrid and Barca.  But until we see the schedule released once the group stage is drawn there is no way to know.  I'm already paying an extra $50 for NBC gold for the 2-3 LFC games that won't be on TV, then ESPN+ for the FA cup, Championship and League Cup.  This is starting to really add up :(

Get ready to get fcuked over tv coverage this season.   :no

{snip...)

Christ, look at the state of this.

I worked in sports broadcasting for years and went through some of this madness as part of a strategy forced on us from above. The number of paying subscribers didn't stop tanking until we ditched this complicated nonsense and made it simple and easy to watch again. If it's expensive, unreliable, inconvenient, and complicated to watch an event legally, then why would anybody bother?

I have absolutely no problem with paying my way. I'd even be fine with every game being PPV. But needing about five different subscriptions as well as a spreadsheet to figure out how on earth I get to see the match? Instead of all that faffing, I can just go to Reddit right before kick-off and get on with watching the game.

Is it confirmed that ESPN+ Has the rights to those competitions?
