Campbell doing as I expected; causing problems but a bit short of what's required to win.

Yeah I think the points might come as a bit of a shock. Campbell's doing alright but I don't think he's winning any rounds. Will look a lot more one sided on the cards I think.

My scorecard would be pretty one sided in favour of Loma but that perhaps does Campbell a bit of a disservice because many of those rounds were only edged by Loma rather than being dominant.

Nah. Loma was ahead after 10 and won 10-8 and 10-9 at the end. Campbell's reputation has gone up though IMO. Gave Loma plenty to think about for 10 rounds.

Was a good fight. Loma by 5 or 6 for me. Campbell did well to survive a few times there.

Laughable scorecards but right result. I sure can't score a fight very well but I had Campbell ahead through 9

I had it 119-108 to Loma in the end. Only gave the first round to Campbell although a lot of rounds were close.

Cards are harsh on Campbell but at the same time it's hard to give him more than a couple of rounds.

Campbell was good for 1 minute in every round.

Impressed with Campbell.  Loma deserved the win but thought it would have been far far more one sided.  Props to luke campbell.. tight score (imo) v the number 1 pound for pound. 👐👐

Taylor/Prograis would light him up I reckon. He might be able to get through Broner though.

Watched the fight with no commentary earlier as we were coming back from Burnley so listened on the radio. I thought Campbell was competitive in the 1st 4 rounds and round 7 was his best round. Lomachenko was different class in rounds 5. 11 and 12 and Campbell did well to go the distance.

Just read that Gervonta Davis is vacating the WBA title at 130 & moving up to 135. Same weight as Lomachenko.

Bob Arum was suggesting on Saturday night that Davis/Loma might be next.
I agree Campbell enhanced his reputation.  Had it slightly closer than the judges but Loma edged quite a lot of rounds I guess so no arguments.
Jeff Powell in today's Mail is saying Loma is the best technical fighter he's seen in 60years of watching the game.

Just as Loma said he is likely to move back down and told Gervonta to wait for him

Smith is good but he doesn't sell. Had momentum after the win against Groves and then proceeded to piss it away. Apparently wants PPV money after his WBSS fortune but is no way a PPV fighter in terms of appeal. They were talking about him selling Anfield, he cant even sell Echo. If Iwas Joe, clean up domestically to increase appeal and for big money and then go for the belts

That's why Gallagher will be cheesed as Eddie didn't move quickly enough. Now Smith is back to fighting people we don't know or who are not exciting.

As for BJS he joined Matchroom for the big fights but his biggest fight will be Eubank Jr rematch

I think a boxer who had been taking punches to the head for most of their life would make far more sense, so think it’s unlikely.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I think certain things have worked against Callum, the WBSS Final not being in the UK, being Fucked around by Dirrell for a year after Hearn lost the purse bid to Al Haymon. Inactivity after the WBSS when his child was born won't have helped his momentum either. Neither will a mandatory against John Ryder.

Did I read once that Callum only fights twice a year due to hand issues? Or was that just rumour? If true then maybe that explains why he's not interested in cleaning up domestically as Clayton referred to because he'd rather just wait for big fights. But then again, he's not getting them regardless.
