Hello Friend - Mr Robot TV series.

Just watched the 2nd episode in my opinion its so ahead of anything else on the TV right now.

Dark and moody, clever and well written. Are things real or in his head.

Love the chats with his strink

Did anyone else think the titles to the 2nd episode give a nob to clockwork orange with the classical music etc that's the first thing that came to my mind.

Can't be many series that was given a 2nd series just on feedback from a leaked episode on the Internet.

Just hope it can keep up the high standards.

Don't blame me I voted for Jeremy Corbyn!!

Just watched the first episode of this. It has that exact same Fight Club depressed narration. First episode is absolutely brilliant.

(I didn't spoiler this because I don't think I give anything away, but someone send me a slap if I'm wrong.)

The thing I liked about the second episode, the encouraging thing, is that I found myself liking the lead character the more he spoke "on screen" (as opposed to the voice-over). Not that there was anything wrong with the voice-over either. It's just that he is such a weird guy, but he's peeling himself open a little at a time and he really is becoming more human and relatable.

As good as it has been, this show is going to have to tread very, very carefully around the "WB/CW Network" pitfalls that are littered all over this kind of landscape. The central question he is grappling with is very intriguing and complex - does he smash the status quo, despite not really knowing what kind of people he is getting into bed with, or indeed what the over-arching consequences of that smashing will be? Or does he hang fire, self-medicate, and just "get by"? This is an interesting question. Much more interesting than delving too far into "daddy issues" (there are far too many "latch-key" c*nts - kids with parents who abandoned them in one way or another - whose abandonment is the whole story - this is what I mean by "WB/CW Network" shite, though it is all around on most of the networks). More interesting than young stilted romance if that romance is too mundane and typical of the TV romance (especially between teens) we have seen the past ~10 years. There's something of that in here with the blonde girl, and I really hope the show tackles it with the aplomb it has brought to the central question. So far, so good on that count.

I still can't get over the fact that this is on the USA Network.

Second episode wasn't as good as the first in my opinion...which is a shame considering the almost Kubrickian opening credits sequence. My concern here is that there are some people involved trying to make a serious prestige show and others making something that'd feel more at home on FOX. The presence of Christian Slater in particular doesn't fill me with confidence; he's gonna have to do a lot of good work to wipe off the stink of his last few TV roles.

With the negativity out of the way, though, I think these things usually even themselves out if the show is given enough time. So fingers crossed!

This is by far the best thing on at the moment, if you haven't watched it yet I'd defo recommend it to everyone.
The biggest problem anywhere in the world is that people's perceptions of reality are filtered through the screening mesh of what they want, and do not want, to be true.

Swedish and Norwegian are very close, but the southern dialect of Swedish is closer to Danish, and Danish is quite a bit more gargled and fucked than Swedish, even though the vocabulary is close a lot of the time. I am pretty sure he was speaking Swedish - I heard several Swedish words, but some of them may be the same in Norwegian. It has been a while, so I'm not sure, but I think he had a slightly southern Swedish accent. His (admittedly faint) accent in English also sounds Swedish to me.

Right before watching Episode 4, I asked the mrs if Mr. Robot is in Elliot's head.
Then episode four reinforced the idea. The creator must have seen Dexter and Fight Club, because the influences are hammered into this.

Im loving it.

I enjoyed that one as well, Dave. The style of this show is really top-notch - combine that with the weirdness of the lead characters, and it's really got something about it. I like that blonde girl as well (sorry, I can't remember any of the names at the moment) - she's really coming along nicely. That's what he said.
