To be honest, I've only just realised I'm not in a head to head with Chakan  :boxhead

Thankfully I haven't voted yet though.

This is a bloodbath! Might be good to have a best runner up play off here? So many of these votes are so ridiculously close. I know we all want to jump to the next draft asap, but it's crazy hard to make comparisons between three separate line-ups of 10 films! Almost had to go eeny meeny miny moe in the end to decide  ;D

Yeah, agree with that mate. I was pretty confused when I first saw the matchups. Initially I thought it was a standard 1v1, but then realised they were three-way matches, which are pretty hard to call as you say. Given the vote discrepancy (23 on the first and 19 on the others), I think there were several people who didn’t understand how the matches were set-up.

Could have made it clearer but it is right at the beginning of the post. It was the only way I could evenly spread the matches without extending the draft even more. We can still get through one more before the Man City game.

I think group stages are needed in these really. That way we all get a chance to process eachother's selection and everyone gets a fair crack. Footy drafts are dead and buried, so makes sense to speed run them, but these are something a bit fresh with a new collection of drafters so it's nice to let them breathe a bit IMO. There were 90 films listed in this thread alone. Just a total overload.

Appreciate you setting them up, but next time feel free to ask me if you want some help doing groups etc. We'll have loads of time for whatever next drafts are on the table. Not even sure what we're rushing towards right now? Did we decide what draft is next?

Wouldn't say football drafts are dead and buried, football's just a bit rubbish at the moment so I'm trying to avoid it.

No rush to complete this draft either, it was more the voting can drag a bit. Also, there were three separate matches though, so I don't think it was an overload. Maybe work on the format for the next draft, whatever it is. I don't think we've decided yet.

I meant the vote threads in footy drafts. Although I'd be lying if I said I wasn't losing the will to draft the same players we've all drafted 1000 times over now. Stil, a good concept can still be fun.

Personally didn't find it dragging last time out when Lastrador did groups, quarters, semis and then the final. Seemed a perfect length of time to run things after the effort we all put it. Fair enough if it didn't overload you, but it did me and judging by the confusion in the vote numbers and the lack of discussion I'm not sure I'm alone. Anyway, it's done now. Next time I'm happy to run a slower version again. Depending on what next time out is....

Next draft is the Super Ultimate Final Film Draft To End All Film Drafts 2, surely (which is why you were thinking of sequels), where we have the same rules as this one, only we can't pick any film which has been picked by someone in one of this series of drafts. Betts or Las even set up lists in Letterboxed.
