I’ve only got five players in a couple of weeks :D
there is a double coming up

also worth going minus 4 if a player isnt playing

if you are down a player you wont get any points for a bonafide starter will get you back 2 points immediately

maybe more depending on what they do in the game

mind you last year i was in your boat

only 6 players one friday, went minus 8 to bring in 3 spurs players as they played double that week.

deadline passes, first spurs game is postponed

Who to captain this week?

Martenelli or Saka?

Haha.

I am top of a League with 50 in it so it is getting serious now.

I’m second bottom with no hope of catching anyone above me. So Saka.

Went Martinelli because I think he’s been playing as their central forward in the last couple of games and he’s obviously been in decent form but you could say that about Saka too.

Really poor day today. For Kane, Martinelli and Saka to do nothing with those fixtures shows the luck of fantasy football. Most people probably suffered similar though is the only consolation. Need a Darwin masterclass tomorrow now.

Weeks like that basically punish anyone who has used their chips already.

I hate game weeks where there's 7 games for example.you basically have to play with minimal players or transfer big players out to get average ones in for that week only but then long term you're in trouble.

I haven’t used any chips this season. More through not being arsed than any cunning strategy. What’s the best approach for the upcoming weeks then?

Use transfers to build up a squad rich in double fixtures for week 29, starting now. Use free hit for week 28, bench boost for 29, then wildcard for 30 if your squad was totally unbalanced by the double pursuit. That's what I'm doing, and it's definitely going to work this time!

Really tough captain choice this week. The following are all credible candidates:

Haaland
Salah
Darwin
Kane
Mitoma
Toney
Rashford
Saka
Martinelli

I think I've captained Mitoma's double over Salah's single; I need us to turn in some decent away performances before I trust our guys in this situation.

Brought in Raya and Estupinan for Kepa and Gabriel, per my aforementioned strategy. Tempted to swap Whoreland for Toney but the former got a hattie against Palace last time so it seems a regrettable use of a transfer penalty.

Also, have the authorities been notified re: Trippier not receiving 3 bonus points for a Newcastle win?  I guess assisting a Wolves goal counted against him...

having a good week, though I happen to be against the same fella in two work leagues

Hasnt looked at this team in ages to the point he has Cancelo as his starter

Typically the sub is Gabriel

Was going to captain Haaland but the doubles etc threw me off, went with Rashford

I am 6 points behind but still have Mee, Raya and Mitoma to play

Using my wildcard this week. Going to get 11 players playing this week (10 of which who have DGW next weeK) and 3 on the bench (All of which aren't playing this week, but all have DGW next week). And then planning to bench boost next, while swapping out the one player who doesn't have DGW next week. Giving me all players having DGW next week.

Plan.

Didn't think free hit was worth it for this week. I have 8 starting. Got Raya Mee Mings White Saka Martinelli Kane and Toney.

Gone Kane captain.

Got 60 points - happy with that and has put me top of my league! Saka and Martinelli the big hitters. Kane captain not bad and Mings getting an assist on top of the clean sheet was big.

Not sure how to navigate the week next week. As it stands I have 8 double week players, Haaland, Saka and Martinelli.

I could go free hit or wildcard still but looking at the fixtures there's no obvious candidates to put in that you know are going to haul big.

Unsure whether to start Haaland vs us as well.

Going to be another week where captain is essential.

Apparently Ward is getting dropped now and Rodgers has hinted Iversen is getting a run in goal

Ward on my bench all season. Double week coming up too

Gonna have to go minus 8

Ward wont play, Almiron out for 6 weeks, Want Salah in on the double as captain so means Saka on a single will have to go

Will see how internationals pan out first

Bench boost will be played.

Have first  11 all doubling and two on the bench doubling

Might sell Saka to Maddison or Harrison ( Leeds ) to make 3 on the bench with double games
