So I got sent an email from them today or this week (they email every day, which is a bit much) but this took the piss. They said click the link to join the contest to win the signed Milner book. When I click the link its to the FSA awards voting. Bit wank that.

Someone has probably put the incorrect link into the email.

I'm not a subscriber but used some tokens to listen to the AFQ with Carra. It is brilliant. Kev Walsh with some cracking lines in there!

Carra came back with a good couple, but some one will have to explain the Si Hughes and Formby gag to me (as I'm not local and not informed enough to have an idea what the inference was).

Copy and pasted the wrong link, don’t let it annoy you too much.

Also, there’s an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the emails, if you’re not into them. Feedback on the Daily Run Down been really good so far though!

Funnily enough that wrecks my head every time she says it. Not her fault of course, it's an accent.

Listened back to the Hodgson special after the Iceland game on the recommendation of Craig on Talking Reds, fucking brilliant. Very funny listening to anyone who hasn't heard it, Ben Johnson and Mike Nevin tearing strips off the horrible c*nt.

Keen for more of the lads absolutely bodying Hodge I then went and listened to WWCH 2010/11 Part 2, from the buyout to his sacking. Can't recommend that podcast enough for anyone who missed it the first time.

Thought it was a nice touch that the TAW guys did a Monday show exclusively on the women's team and with contributors that are more in tune with what the women's team get up to but equally would also have been nice if after it had some time up there on the Monday, one followed late today for the usual business of the mens team? I defo enjoyed the discussion and the light shone on the women's team and definitely the right call to give it pride of place on the Monday- but would be a shame if there wasn't another standard show - even if it came delayed. Tend to prefer that show over the team talk. Realise there wasn't a game to discuss but other bits and pieces and general bits surely?

Anyway, lots of other great content on there and glad to have back to back Amazon shifts driving around today so I catch up with some of the stuff that dropped during the international break :wave

I love Mike Kearney’s story on AFQ Football about missing a goal because he took his glasses off to clean them.  So random but it actually made me laugh out loud.  Fortunately I wasn’t on a packed train at the time so didn’t look like I was too crazy!

Another shout for this. I'm too young to really be massively engaged in the Kennedy shooting, but that was a fascinating pod.

Real shame that Martin doesn't contribute to the footy pods anymore, was one of my favourites to listen to.

There isn't one in the app as far as I can see and the one on the site is pretty bad, better off just using Google.

For anyone interested, here's the reaction show after his England sacking:

https://www.theanfieldwrap.com/2016/06/taw-special-hodgson/

And here's the excellent WWCH from his appointment to sacking, just Part 2 but the full thing is great:

https://www.theanfieldwrap.com/2015/04/what-we-call-history-201011-pt-2/

Do think TAW are missing a trick not making these old/archive shows more visible. Some absolute gold that could lure in new customers but it's just too hidden away.

Excellent, thank you. Going for a run at lunch and need some material to listen to. A show dedicated to slagging Hodgson sounds perfect!

"Roy Hodgson's career has ended in disgrace!" Possibly a tad premature but the sentiment is commendable.

That Hodgson stuff is magnificent.

Glass of wine and enjoy being 9th. Utter twats. That's where they want us isn't it. Nice and mid table, leaving the top of the table to their favourites. That said, if it's a manager that doesn't suit their agenda, then being 7th, 8th, 9th is used against him.

My main regret still is that some Liverpool fans fell for this type of shite and the anti Rafa agenda which preceded it.

This should be edited into a lowlights package and pinned, so that any spoilt twats that throw their toys out because we've conceded too many chances can be reminded of how bad it was not that long ago.

Yeah the website is rubbish, we've just started work on a new one for next year - to be more of a web player like spotify, netflix etc. Early plans really exciting, shows will be grouped and will it'll be made easy to find old shows, specials and classic pods.

On the old archived shows - been compiling a list of old favourites to compile together in some way soon in the mean time. But again with the new website there will be a section for all of these.

I don’t think he’s too enthralled with outlandish conspiracies. I think he’s more interested in the lack of coherence and inconsistencies in many of the theories, including Oswald.

Make it a video and I'll pay a tenner to watch Gutmann squirm the big Tory.

Would start off something like this

‘Why are you a Tory Rob?’
‘I’m not, I’m a lifelong labour voter’

Wouldn’t be very good I suspect.
