i cant take to the new ones at all

i see the new opening i turn off

they are just flogging the same dead horse at this stage and need to let it go

Its gas but I am the exact same.

It takes about 2 seconds of the intro to roughly place the episode you are going to see.

More often than not turning off after 2 seconds these days when the obvious post season 10 drivel is coming on.

As many of you, I don't watch the "new" episodes (apart from that Family Guy crossover I haven't seen anything modern since the Simpsons Movie) but I found this very interesting:

http://www.theverge.com/2015/5/15/8611697/the-simpsons-series-finale-christmas

You can watch the episode from the usual places online and for what its worth, I found it to be decent and nothing more. Actually thought it would be more emotional to be frank.

Was in the Asda the other day and had a good long chuckle to myself after an announcement went up, drawing the attention of a lady whose lad was waiting for her with customer services. They then put out the message again saying 'We also have your older son.'

Immediately my mind jumped to 'attention Marge Simpson, we have also arrested your older, balder, fatter son.' Couldn't stop laughing to myself about it.

Looks like FOX and the makers shit one and just said 'Here is a blank cheque. Now please come back'

http://www.ew.com/article/2015/05/15/harry-shearer-simpsons-returns

Shearer has signed the same contract as did the other five primary voice actors—Dan Castellaneta, Yeardley Smith, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, and Hank Azaria—keeping the show’s original cast fully intact, EW has learned. These deals, which run for four seasons (including a network option for seasons 29 and 30), are estimated at more than $300,000 per episode.

Series 8 is just a murderer's row of classic episodes. It's got the Hank Scorpio one, Homer fighting Drederick Tatum, Poochie (he was just totally in your face), Sideshow Bob's brother Cecil, the John Waters episode, and Frank Grimes.  Good ol' Grimey.

We can all agree season 8 is the best season ever.

Such a shame how shit it is now, I don't even watch it if it's on unless it's a season 1-9 episode

I will treasure my seasons 3-14 box sets forever. Certainly if there's one thing that reminds me of my childhood when I'm much older, it'll be the classic 90s early 00s Simpsons episodes, even though I'm in the minority when it comes to loving the early 00s episodes ;D

Whenever I'm coming out of a sidestreet onto a busy road, you know how you have to edge out because there's parked cars and you can't see if the roads open. And then someone comes past on the main road and gives you a beep or a dirty look, I always give it the classic Marty 'Eye in the Sky' line:

"I can't see through METAL, Ken!"
