I think he just gets slightly less wrong than the rest myself and so comes off well, best of a bad bunch imo. That holding on the corner was laughable

Lots of talking points from yesterday (I only watched this a.m).

The thing that stands out for me above all else, is the poor finishing. Clear chances crash against the woodwork or get blazed over the bar on a regular basis.

I know the game is much faster now than in the 80s - I’m also aware that the ball is lighter. Even so, there is a lack of clinical finishing; Messi plays with the same ball. What happened to the dinked finish for example? What would a Rush or a Fowler be worth in today’s market?

Look at the clear chances though. Mané x 2, Shaqiri, Origi off the bar. Bar the save and Gomez clearance they had nothing comparable.

They missed out that Mane chance in the first half when Pickford made the save from the angle. Everton played some neat stuff, infinitely better than what we've seen them do at Anfield before, but we created a lot more chances than them and should won more comfortably.

Haven't seen it yet.
Did they show the André Gomez clothes-line on Salah that would have been a yellow anywhere else on the pitch but was nothing because it was in the box at Anfield?

Bet they didn't even mention it.

Didn't show it or mention it at all.

Neither did they talk about Klopp getting on the pitch, which talkShite seem to be all over today. I was dying with laughter at Danny Mills having a little breakdown yesterday about it.

They also, conveniently, didn't show the angle that confirmed Mina was offside for his chance. Don't know if that is worse than Sky showing that angle continuously and wilfully ignoring it. No discussion on the potential penalty for handball either, which is strange because they normally love discussing the referee's decisions. I suppose it wouldn't fit the Everton were hard done by story.
