Loved their stuff for about 4 years now, some real anthems out there, and if you get a chance to see live, then sell whatever you need to, they are simply awsome. Bellamy plays the guitar so hard I actually feel sorry for it!!

One of my favourite bands. Seen them live quite a few times now and hopefully will be seeing them again later on in the year. They have a new album due out in July. They are also rumoured to be headlining one night at this years Reading / Leeds festival.

Mason make guitars exclusively for him, top quality, hand made with the latest gizmos built in especially to his custom specifications and he regularily reutrns them to the company in a box full of piece.

Dave Mason takes it as a compliment. If you've seen Live At Earls Court, you'll see one there.

New album is meant to be outstanding by all accounts. Never really a big fan of them, but Absolution was nearly a modern day masterpiece in my opinion...so much depth to it, some really great songs. However as Matt said, could be a bit too intense at times. Got a lot of time for them though, original and creative.
I should have been at work. Make of that what you will.

Really weird band for me, Muse. I want to love them, I really do. But I can't. I've got Origin of Symmetry and Absolution, and I think they're both great records, but I saw them live a few years ago and they just bored me. I am definitely gonna give them another chance if I catch them at a festival or something though.

Saw them at Oxegen in 2004. Absolutely amazing live show. Kicked off with hysteria and never looked back.. they had tiny camera's actually on the drums, the mic, and guitars for the big projection screens, looked awesome...

I thought Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry were much better than Absolution, haven't heard the new stuff though.

Seen them twice, once at the Apollo (Manc) and once at Leeds festival and both sets were fantastic. Can't sit and listen to them for hours on end, and don't have any of their stuff here at the minute - not listened to them for a couple of years really - but if you're just discovering them, definitely go and see them live :wave

Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry are more bang on .. which probably appeals to a rock chick like yourself ;D ..

Absolution is more diverse .. with some fantastic songs like Stockholm Syndrome and Thoughts of a dying atheist ..

Oh dear, I've been genre-d. (I was going to say pigeonholed but that's a bit unfair)

Also; I don't own Absolution, and actually I like both those tracks and had forgotten they were on that record, so maybe I like it more than I think I do...

Yep, Absolution is only £4.99 or so in HMV now, and the others come on offer often.  Also, we are capped at 3Gig a month so couldn't upload anyway :wave

i take it everyone's heard 'supermassive black hole' on the radio by now? it's very different to their previous stuff, very funky.

here's a link for some mp3s from yesterday's radio 1 big weekend thingy. it's got a couple of new songs on it, including 'supermassive...' and one called 'knights of cydonia', which is pretty good.

;D I love muse, origin of symmetry right up there in my top 5 album, with Citizen Erazed being up there with my favourite songs.

Not too sure I hope the whole album isn't based around this song it is rather laughable but i shall agree with " Funky"

Their new song has grown on me now and I really like it. Still not sure what the video is all about though!

Don't think this single will be representative of the album though. I would expect the album to be more like their other stuff rather than 'Supermassive Black Hole.'

Black Holes and Revelations out today. So I did the decent thing and downloaded it  ;). Some mad instruments used on this album, especially on the track, City of Delusion. But on first listening sounds great  ;D, if I have one crictism of Muse its that quite a few of their tracks sound very similar and tend to get repetitive quickly, but thankfully the same cannot be said about this album, from first listening it sounds like they have re-invented themselves, but kept the things that made them such a good band in the first place. Knights of Cydonia, is an improved Butterflies & Hurricanes and a great end to the album, one of those great epic long songs that ebb and flow subtly ;). Should be going to see them live this year as well, cannot wait  ;D
