If Roach gets the final wicket he'll record the best figures of his career.

Only one I feel sorry for is Jimmy, he’s bowled his socks off and he’s back out there after 30 overs.

The rest of them should be embarrassed. Bairstow, Stokes, Buttler, Ali, billy big bollcoks teeing off against the white ball with flat tracks but honestly, would be good if they showed a little bit of intelligence and respect to the test conditions.

It really shouldn’t be winding me up this much but it’s the shame shite every other test. The score might be slightly different but the methods of dismissal are always the same.

All out for 77.

You’re a disgrace lads.

Least he didn’t.

england apparently got offered a first class match and turned it down.
Yeah I saw Agnew mention that. I'd be interested to know their reasoning for choosing a couple of two day games instead.

Either way, most Test Series don't have much preparation time, with all the T20 stuff going on now. That's not going to change, as it makes people too much money, so having the ODIs come first seems an easy thing to do.

Not that he’d have improved the batting but should Broad have played here? Height and uneven bounce etc?
After two innings it’s an absolute no brainer.

Can't believe I have watched West indies bowl England out for 77. I'm not used to this.

Now don't mess this to and go and win the game. Had enough starts in the first innings but nobody kicked on to a big score.

Still far from convinced with Jennings. His footwork is far too static, especially against pace.  The Aussie quicks are going to cause him all sorts of trouble.

Don't know what you're on about mate, he top scored the batting in that innings ;)

Follow on NOT enforced. Jimmy has to bowl again.

there's loads of time left, bat again now, put england out of the game and give them the worst of the pitch in the 4th innings.

that's how I'd be thinking.

Some stats about Roach that surprised me; he averages 28 and has a strike rate of 53. They put him up there amongst some greats really and about 10 people know he exists.

Curran’s a fine promising cricketer, but a front line bowler he ain’t. Do we really have no other pace options if Broad is unavailable?

Woakes is in the squad. Wood was called up but feels like his time has come and gone, just can’t stay fit. That Ollie Stone went home injured. Not sure who else there is? Whatever happened to Roland-Jones? Crocked again I think?

Hmmm. What about Overton? At least he’s quick. Curran’s about as threatening as a dunked rich tea on a quick wicket.

(Hoping this reverse mockers works)

Curran as second bowler is looking a worse call as the game goes on. Struggling to control the seam and just not enough pace to even remotely trouble the batsman, even when it’s pinged in at the toes.

We're playing a poor West Indies side.

But with a couple of serious Test bowlers. Always thought that Roach in particular has got something special.

That was absolute shite from the batsmen today. No surprise to see the Windies bat again, I'm sure they want to have Jimmy out on the field for as long as possible.

For so many that can bat on their day, the order doesn't half seem lopsided. If they think today was tough, then they might as well not bother in the summer against Starc, Hazelwood etc

Blimey. That was a throwback to the 90s, super stuff. This Windies team seems unrecognizable from the side that got smashed in the subcontinent a few months ago.

Dowrich and Holder would ideally want to stretch this lead to 400 later today.
