Confident performance all round. You’d expect a degree of rustiness at this stage but everyone was combining brilliantly. Important to do that playing one of the last fixtures of the weekend.

No complaints at all, best opening day I can remember from us.

Faultless.

Keita is going to become one of the best players on the continent. Gomez, Alexander-Arnold and Robertson are going to get better and better, with Van Dijk we've got a very exciting backline for the long-term. The attack is incredible, Shaqiri and Sturridge are only going to improve it further.

Couldn't have asked for better on the first day, we've laid down our marker.

Very happy with that result. A clean sheet to top it off, lovely stuff.

The funny thing is, we still looked pretty rusty. The front three weren't entirely on the same wavelength, Keita's still adapting and Trent needs minutes. We'll be frightening in a few weeks time.

Lovely, lovely stuff

Front three all looked slightly rusty and still tore them to shreds, Firmino in particular a little off his vest. Naby looks fucking brilliant, just the perfect addition to the team. Milner was class too. Studge looks hungry as fuck, that can only bode well. And loved when Shapiro came on, looked as excited as I did opening Scaletrix when I was 6!

Oh and Anthony Taylor, go fuck yourself

Oh and also Jamie Redknapp, go fuck yourself too. Utterly pathetic trying to make out Allisson had anything other than a nice, solid, confident game because he punched clear a cross which nearly reached the halfway line. Fuck you Sky and the shit narratives you try to create.
