Well , Worldchoice sports is turning into a possible disaster .

I finally was able to speak to someone and it doesn’t sound good. Basically the Kiev airport have gone back on the original landing times for those flights that are unconfirmed. The owner/director of World Choice Sports has been on to the club and has asked for help. Apparently Peter Moore is involved. They have over 1,000 fans affected.

They are working on the basis that the original slots will be honoured, but they couldn’t promise anything and couldn’t commit that the flights will go ahead!

World Choice taken on more than they can handle ?

I know a lad who works for SportOptions and he said they waited until they had full confirmation from Kiev before they released details of their flights - he said they waited for confirmation to avoid the exact situation that WorldChoiceSports are in right now

6 of us on the sportoptions 820 from Manchester.Just booked the airport lounge in Manchester for food and beer.  hopefully land before expected time of 1340. Anybody else thinking of getting a taxi in to kiev instead f the bus? to save some time. online says a taxi should cost about 11 quid so a offer of £20 should keep them happy.

Was thinking about this - how long does it take from the airport to the park? not long I'm assuming?

Same - really looking forward to this free snack and soft drink.

Also same. At Roma I had some food/drink around 4pm I think it was and then left to the stadium. Stuck outside for hours so no food or drink there. Then when inside everywhere was rammed so gave up the idea of food and drink. I'd have given anything for a light snack and a soft drink after that.

Fingers crossed for those on WorldChoiceSports. You'd hope they can go to a different airport maybe, or the day before and pay for a hotel, or nearby and arrange coaches or something at least. I'm sure they will be trying everything they can.

I've had my E tickets come through for my world choice sports flight out of LJL at 10.10. I take it that if you have the e tickets the flight is confirmed and going ahead? Supposedly this flight was a smaller plane so was easier to get a slot for??

Yes mate, E-ticket should mean confirmed.

I`ve just got mine for the 11pm Friday night that was sold as the day return  :D

Fucking long day return, it`s actually more like a two night trip with no hotel but hey ho, I`ve now decided to take a pull string bag with socks, t-shirt, deodorant, toothpaste etc so I can freshen up.

Up the fucking red boys  :)

Thinking about it, it would handy if someone had a couch me and a mate of mine could get our heads down for a couple of hours in the morning.

A plane is a plane. A landing slot is a landing slot. Size of aircraft only impacts on parking and handling. Not slots

This is the problem its rumour and counter rumour, I've seen this on the facebook kyiv free couch group and they are saying flights have been cancelled. Another saying that world choice sports have got 10 flights departing 8 have been confirmed, 2 haven't, but not sure this fits in with the over 1000 fans affected comment earlier

I spoke to a woman at World Choice Sports the other night about the Heathrow flight. They always said that confirmations and e-tickets might be issued as late as Thursday. She told me the e-tickets would be issued today and told me the take off and landing (now all confirmed). It's a shame that we're getting in to Kiev a few hours later but fuck me, there are people who can't get there at all.

It doesn't help anyone to spread rumours, especially if it isn't your flight. If you do have worries about your own flight email the company or pick up the phone - don't post on RAWK as a first resort.

As far as I'm aware no World Choice flights have been cancelled. If anyone knows different let us know. All tickets should be issued tomorrow.

It wasn’t rumour if that was aimed at my post.

I am booked on the 9:30 from Manchester with World Choice and I have had no confirmation. I phoned the company earlier, just look at my previous posts. Once I got through I was told exactly what is above.

I am now worried for my flight, I have a genuine ticket for the match and had planned on my flight taking place.  I thought other Liverpool fans might be in a similar position and as I struggled to get an update from world choice it was my belief that updating everyone else in a similar predicament would be helpful. If anyone wants to doubt me, message me

Not doubting you (and it wasn't aimed at you in particular) but they haven't told you it's cancelled yet. I know how you feel - the reason I phoned them and emailed them was because i hadn't had confirmation yesterday. Fortunately I now have. I have to call them tomorrow because our email was down today and I haven't received the e-ticket by email. If I get through early I'll ask for an update on the other flights.

I hope everything turns out ok for you mate. Let us know if you hear anything from them.

Flying back at 12:50pm on the Sunday  :o

Good luck to those still awaiting confirmation.
