Did anyone else see a bright white light zip across the sky just a minute or two before the ISS became visible? Me & the Mrs saw it go across the line of where the ISS appeared a little bit later.

Was a pretty awesome sight last night, glad I've finally seen it :)

I wish I'd be a bit more spontaneous. Sometimes I feel like going out, stealing a traffic cone, putting it on my head and saying, "Look at me, I'm a giant witch."

They tell me I'm a bit thick.

Do I just go outside at the time specified and look up?

Theres a decent app for the iPhone called GoSatWatch it has the ISS on there and it will tell you when the passes are. It also has an alarm feature which alerts you as to when the visible pass is going over.

Saw this today at about 06:05, it was really bright in a crystal clear sky and took about 5 minutes to pass. I also went out again at about 07:45 for the second predicted sighting, but couldn't see anything as it was after sunrise. I think the next predicted sighting is at about 06:45 tomorrow for the North West which should provide a clear sighting, if this weather stays as it is and there are no clouds about.

Yeh just worked it out, visible for 3 minutes? Last time I saw it was in the spring at about 6am when I went into the garden to feed my Koi carp, had me nailed to the spot for about 5 minutes, beautiful time to see it in the morning, worth being a little late for work.

Same here!

Never seen it before. I was out at like 11.33 and I thought I saw something that could be it and then I actually saw it at bang on time lol

Can't miss it. Really streaks across the sky, and as someone else mentioned, I saw 2 shooting star type streaks in the periphery as it passed. Weird! Anyone know what the relationship is?

Was good that. The thing I especially get a thrill out of is knowing whereabouts -roughly- its actually over as i'm looking at it. Like tonight, as it was due south I thought to myself 'thats over bristol but looks like it could be over town'. Then when it disappeared seconds later and its over Poland/Germany way.

Just saw it, it was really bright and looked to move quickly. Amazing to think that the human eye can see so far.

It'll fry your mind when you see Andromeda with the naked eye, it's past the moon. Allegedly.

Watched this twice tonight, first time just after quarter past 6, my little lad spotted it moving away to the east. Just watched it again, from the west until it just passed overhead. Think there may be a few UFO sightings reported over the next few nights.

If you go to somewhere with very little light pollution it's amazing how many satellites you can see flying past. I thought i'd seen the ISS at first but it was a bit faint, then after another 2 or 3 went past I realised they were normal ones

Lay back with a beer with almost no light near the beech and gaze up at the stars.Like you said its unreal how many sattelites you see moving accross the sky.I love it.Done it on my holidays a few weeks back in gran canaria on the roof of the hotel at about 5am pissed as a fart. incredible it was.
