It was his third time getting banned for a dangerous tackle in the space of a year. I would say that's a serial offender for a pretty serious offence?
So bloody what? If you watch football to be absolutely miserable then go watch cricket.

Absolutely delighted with it, Pivac was the man I wanted to take us forward. He's got the Scarlets playing some incredible rugby so lets hope he can transfer that across to the national team.

Sam Warburton announces his retirement due to injury at age 29.

That's terrible news. He was a terrific player and brilliant captain. I know we shouldn't be all that shocked when players who've been out for a year announce their retirement, but he's a huge loss for Wales.

Still, 2 Lions tours as skipper with a series win and a draw in New Zealand, as well as having the most caps for Wales as captain - including a Grand Slam - will be hard to match.

Great player and a better captain. Can tell he’s English really.

Real shame for him but can look back on a great career.

There's a good argument that him and George North were the two best English players of this decade.

Even when Jones selected him he didn't really play Cipriani, so I don't think Jones will have any problem not selecting him.

Don’t disagree. Sounds like the incident was blown massively out of proportion by a gobshite bouncer in fairness but with his previous reputation it’s not going to do him any favours.

Interesting start to the (still stupidly named) Rugby Championship. Australia 6-5 New Zealand at HT, and the AB score came just before HT.
So the final score will probably be NZ 34-15 Aus or something similar.

As a Leicester Tigers fan, yes Saturday was a disgrace but getting rid of Matt O'Connor after one game is a joke.

Was there last season and it was the first time we ever missed out on the playoffs. Don't see many alternatives at the moment. Mike Ford maybe as George is already at the club. Geordan Murphy in temporary charge.

It may seem harsh but you'll be far better off without him. As a Leinster fan I witnessed the worst 2 seasons of rugby I've ever seen under his stewardship. He turned the best attacking team in Europe into a side that didn't know how to attack. You could count on one hand the number of good performances in that 2 year spell. He didn't exactly pull up tress at the Queensland Reds either.

Argentina played really well there. Could probably have beaten any other side in world rugby with that performance.

All Blacks are so clinical though. Their ability to shift through the gears when needed is extraordinary.

Good test match. Argentina look like they're tuning up nicely for RWC19, but may need some new front rowers if they don't want to get done at scrum time. But they really gave it a go with ball in hand.

Australia had a much-needed win over the Boks, but there was a serious lack of quality especially in the 2nd half.

Was a cracking game Wasps v Exeter yesterday, defences were awful though, 5 tries in the first 25 minutes, both teams scored a bonus point but, Exeter scored in the 80th minute to deny Wasps an extra bonus point.

Damnit, slept on this morning and looks like I've missed a classic. NZ 29-36 SA on 70 mins with the Boks down to 14 men for the next 6 minutes.

All Black score a try from a maul, and Beauden Barrett misses a relatively easy conversion to level it. His 4th miss from the tee. Boks 2 pts up, 76 mins.

Boks hang on 36-34 after McKenzie knocks it on with an overlap begging close to the line. First away win from them in NZ since 2009.

Great game, it’s ebbs and flows were weird. Normally the ABs close the game out from there but if you miss makeable conversions and gift a fired up opposition 2 tries you’re going to put loads of pressure on yourselves to claw the game back.

Awesome game of rugby, but why NZ didn't take a shot at the drop is anyone's guess!

Barrett's kicking cost them today but he's a fantastic 10
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.

Because then they can’t scoff at other teams when they win in that manner.
