The stuff of legends

Eminem shits all over Jay-z and then pisses on him from above. Not even close ;)

I remember buying Eminem's first album when it came out, just one the power of some of the underground stuff I'd heard from him - none of my friends had heard of him and we put this album on and we were just blown away by it.

The quality of the lyrics and the way he flows was just incredible. The intelligence with which he told stories was a real breath of fresh air.

Like this second verse of 'Brain Damage' - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rA387Em6zck

I was harassed daily by this fat kid named dangelo bailey
An eighth grader who acted obnoxious, cause his father boxes
So everyday hed shove me in the lockers
One day he came in the bathroom while I was pissin
And had me in the position to beat me into submission
He banged my head against the urinal til he broke my nose,
Soaked my clothes in blood, grabbed me and choked my throat
I tried to plead and tell him, we shouldnt beef
But he just wouldnt leave, he kept chokin me and I couldnt breathe
He looked at me and said, you gonna die honkey!
The principal walked in (whats going on in here? )
And started helpin him stomp me
I made them think they beat me to death
Holdin my breath for like five minutes before they finally left
Then I got up and ran to the janitors storage booth
Kicked the door hinge loose and ripped out the four inch screws
Grabbed some sharp objects, brooms, and foreign tools
This is for every time you took my orange juice,
Or stole my seat in the lunchroom and drank my chocolate milk.
Every time you tipped my tray and it dropped and spilt.
Im gettin you back bully! now once and for good.
I cocked the broomstick back and swung hard as I could
And beat him over the head with it til I broke the wood
Knocked him down, stood on his chest with one foot..
.. made it home, later that same day
Started reading a comic, and suddenly everything became gray
I couldnt even see what I was tryin to read
I went deaf, and my left ear started to bleed
My mother started screamin, what are you on, drugs? !?
Look at you, youre gettin blood all over my rug! (sorry!)
She beat me over the head with the remote control
Opened a hole, and my whole brain fell out of my skull
I picked it up and screamed, look bitch, what have you done? !?
[m] oh my god, Im sorry son
[e] shut up you c*nt! I said, fuck it!
Took it and stuck it back up in my head
Then I sewed it shut and put a couple of screws in my neck

So many classics from that album. It remains one of my favourite albums of all time. As the world turns and bad meets evil are superb, too.

Nice. Yeah NERD are good but I hate that Everybody'd Nose tune. The remix with Kanye and Lupe is alright though.

I've spun LAX about 20 times now I reckon since the weekend, and I reckon it is a great effort, but I am not sure I like it as much as Doctors Advocate. Some seriously dope tracks though, Cali Sunshine, Angels, Money, Dope Boys and Bulletproof Diaries are all immense, but I don't think theres any real bangers on there in the same style as One Blood, Compton, Scream on 'em etc.

I am trying to work out if there is a Hate it Or Love It style track, I think it might be My Life if anything, which I think is a superb track.

Yeah Man. My Life is the most played track from that album.

I hate My Life myself think the track is a dime a dozen. Thought DA was poor aswell this is for me a more street orientated and solid album. TD is a personal classic while DA was quite poor in large parts this is a better album IMO

House of Pain is a MONSTER of a track but this album will get recycle binned after a month or two.

I prefered Game back in 04-06 when he was releasing his You Know What It is mixtape series. Now he just bores me he has got too generic, he is a good rapper on his day though.

What about Lax Files? Think that is one of the best on the album personally.

Went to see NERD last night

Incredible gig

Great venue at the manchester academy.

Lapdance and Everybody nose went off big time.  Bit of a mosh in there aswell.

He really knows how to work a crowd, he needed to as his voice wasn't at full capacity.  Boy did he work it.

Great freestyles by all when needed too.  The two drummers were fantastic.

Great night

10/10

With a guy like Game his mixtapes are always gonna be better and grittier. Same with Weezy.

Anyone enjoying the new Nas album?

Hes my favourite MC but nah am not diggin his latest effort... i like some tracks but think some are pretty weak, his lyrics are still dope but his production these days is shite if you ask me...he needs to go independent, fuck his label off and hook up with premo, pete rock, large professor etc...he needs beats. Lables have too much say. Hopefully before he bows out he can drop something even marginally close to illmatic, i hope so anyway.

Got games album think its decent, LAX files is probably my favourite and i like never can say goodbye aswell.

Dont think he was yano, he used production from quite a few different people but not sure if will i am was one, dont think so. Ye that was a quality tune, his hustlers collabo with game was boss aswell.
