I've thought about this and even if i was a multimillionaire, i'd shop in the ASDA, by far the best. Fucks m & s.

i heard a rumour once that dirk kuyt asks for one of the player's lackeys to accompany him at asda when he goes shopping....

Skrtel has been seen a few times by some mates of mine in the little Tesco further up Smithdown.

Rumour has it that ever since then the "Ghost of Smithdown Road" hasn't been seen ..... scary that

Why the fuck any professional footballer on thousands of pounds per week would do their shopping in the ASDA I honestly do not know.

It doesn't matter how much money you earn, you can't beat Asda price.

Maybe because there down to earth and not snobbish as I would suspect you wouldn't be if you had all that money.

I'm not snobbish at all! For the record I lived just off Smithdown Road for the best part of a year and frequently did my shopping in the ASDA.

But there are just better supermarkets around, and if I had a nice expensive sports car as I imagine most of them do, I'd use it to drive me to some decent deli's and stuff rather than the mass produced vegetables from Holland which tend to get sold in the ASDA.
They only drink water and bottles of coke, the Everton boys are a joke...

To be fair, if your coming from a foreign country it may be harder. I couldn't tell a Malian Aldi from a Malian Waitrose.

I saw Torres down at the docks a few days after he signed for us last summer. But that was back when I thought he was going to be a big money flop.

I saw Plessis and Ngog having a meal in Nando's on Friday night at about 10.  Had a chat with them, and they seemed pretty sound.  Ngog doesn't speak very much English though.  They were with some very nice young ladies indeed.

I've got another addition of sorts...

Went out on Saturday to the Mayur on Duke Street, for my girlfriend's dad's birthday. Great place, more like a retaurant with Indian food than a straight up curry house.

Anyway I was with them when I met Pepe, so straight away as we walk in her dad went "Not again". We were shown to a table and sat opposite us was none other than Supersub David Fairclough with his wife. Her dad's a Blue so he was moaning about me and asking whether I was going to go bother him like I did Reina!

I would have waited until he'd finished eating if I said hello but out of principle I just nodded and smiled when he looked up and he grinned back - cue 10 minutes of my girlfriend getting a history lesson about St Etienne before she could get a proper look at the menu :D

Plessis, just.  Both very lanky though yeah.  Most of the restaurant seemed to think Ngog was Usher.  The leather jackets and K-Swiss trainees didn't help.
