Senegal through, but they were really lucky. There is no way that decision was not a penalty. The way it was judged was really questionable as well, the VAR team called the ref over and then preceded to judge the decision on the worst possible angle. If they had looked at it from the other angle there is no way they couldn't award the penalty. They have to do better with VAR.

• Deliberate handball remains an offence
The following ‘handball’ situations, even if accidental, will be a free kick:
• 1:the ball goes into the goal after touching an attacking player’s hand/arm
• 2:a player gains control/possession of the ball after it has touches their hand/arm and then scores, or creates a goal-scoring opportunity
• 3:the ball touches a player’s hand/arm which has made their body unnaturally bigger
• 4:the ball touches a player’s hand/arm when it is above their shoulder (unless the player has deliberately played the ball which then touches their hand/arm)
Per 3: the last pen where the Ref went over to look at it, first I don't think he gave the pen originally..the players arm was hanging where it should be and the ball hit it. So no pen.
Per 4, the one v Koulibaly..when you turn your back and bend over, your arm is now "above the shoulder". So VAR agreed with the call. No need for Ref to have another look.
