I've got a question Graham, How many people who are regular matchgoers/seasies would it take for SOS to reconsider there stance on a match boycott of say just a stand or a block?

It has to be recognised that any boycott comes from the mmebers not the Management Committee.

My personal opinion is you'd need maybe 10 or 15% of the ground to be involved to even start to make a difference. And that would have to be at a game that it could be identified as a boycott, not a choice due to the fixture.

Badge and Card as said above. The e-mails show you are getting processed. Packs are sent out in monthly batches and usually take 4-6 weeks, but obviously the extra demand recently may stretch that a little.

Apologies if this has been asked before lads but Big Red Richie posted this as an idea with regards to the fans official shirt thread. What are the chances of this happening?
Obviously we can pin SOS badges to the shirt but with this it could provide a more permanent solution to those that would like to have it.

Any of the SOS heirarchy looking in ?  ?  ?

Here's an idea.
Very much the same idea as the champions league starball patches that you can get added to a shirt in the clubshop( yeah, yeah, I know....pre buycott).

How about SOS getting something organised for someone to reproduce /manufacture their badge/logo in a cloth badge, with the glue/adhesive on the reverse so anyone who  wants an SOS badge added to this forthcoming shirt can purchse one and iron on/ heat treat it themselves, to the shirt.

I also think it may be a useful item for future purchase as well, as not everyone wants a full on SOS Tshirt, but something a little bit smaller or more subtle.

Come on guys, you know it makes sense.

Those of us old enough to remember having cloth Liverpool badges back in the day of the 1970s will get on to it straight away.    ala     LFC RULE OK  :thumbup

Oh. The memories.

Anyway.   Now back on topic.................. the shirt !

IS there anyone organising things from Northern Ireland?
By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.

Unless i've missed a trick, have SOS thought about having a members forum / discussion table / open talk tab on their website?

I recognise that SOS would not want to take people from other supporting forums and have limited time on their hands to manage such an idea, however could some of the good people help?

The reason i make the suggestion is because, all the SOS members are fragmented and have signed up through information given on the street, outside the ground, on other forums (such as this one) etc - to co-ordinate efforts would it not help to have a central point of conversation for the Union where everybody can discuss opportunities and generally get to know each other better building a real harmony amongst fellow members?

Not everyone wants to use a forum. It would take massive amounts of time to moderate amongst other reasons. A webchat every now and again might be the best option, but would still require more time and revamp of website. We are working on the latter.

Thanks for the feedback Paul, as mentioned in my post i understand the difficulties you would encounter. I just felt a point of discussion with fellow members would stir up good motivation and ideas.

Should you require any help along the way, let me know. I'm an operations manager within an AV and IT company (thus computer literate) so should need any help, just let me know.

Currently trying to start a Northern Ireland Branch - See below email from Peter Hooton to all NI Members: -

Dear Member,

I am writing to you as we have been contacted by Rodney Doherty who is a fellow Northern Irish member who is keen to set up a Spirit of Shankly Northern Ireland branch.

He has been in touch with us and we are giving him as much backing and support that we can to make this a reality. He is based in Belfast (BT14) but the branch would be open to all in the BT postcodes (we have around 220 members covered in those areas).

We have not released any of your information to him but if you would like to email him at rodneydoherty@fastmail.fm you can confirm whether you would be keen to get involved.

Information about how branches work can be found at http://www.spiritofshankly.com/documents/LSU_Constitution.pdf (sections 5.9 to 5.45).

It would be brilliant if we could create a Northern Ireland branch as to do so will give you a greater say and involvement in Union affairs.

All the best

Peter Hooton,
UK Supporters' Liaison

I took a look at the SOS site and couldn't find anything on their views on staying at Anfield and regenerating it (which is my preference) or a new stadium.

What exactly is the SOS stance and if there is information on the official site, where is it exactly?

It can work with a new stadium as well, which have to mention that.
